Party Breakers

As the group approached the crashed Mind Flayer ship the sounds of battle could be heard and music.

Arc felt a sense of Deja Vu from the sound of music and combat. He felt like he had been through similar experiences in his past.

A lone solitary warrior was waging battle against the Mind Flayers. His Mithral armor and sword practically glowed in the morning sun. He stabbed backwards with his great sword then yanked it out and hit another in the face with the pommel. Every part of the sword was used to attack Mind Flayers or defend himself. At one point he even used the hilt to parry an attack. When the Mind Flayers were able to knock the sword out of his hand. He started punching them with a ferocity that said 'How dare you! How dare you have the audacity to do exist!'

Luna then said, “Now that is not something you see everyday.” Styx replied, “He’s almost as cool as Arc. How about we show him up big guy?” Arc replied, “Well it would be the proper thing to do.”

Suddenly the only functioning cannon on the ship started to turn. Shadowfang dived and rolled for his great sword and as he lept to his feet he threw it at the cannon blocking it's ability to turn. He then pulled out another great sword and continued the attack.

Luna said, “ Oh that can’t be good.” Styx then said, “Charge!!” Arc then took off in the direction of the combat with Styx riding on his helmet. Luna took off after them as she released some of her rat constructs.

Vallana was doing her best to provide bardic inspiration while avoiding Mind Flayers. She didn't see one about ready to hit her from behind. Shadowfang did and threw his sword at it skewering it in the brain. After a couple more minutes of bare-handed fighting his sword flew back to his hand.

Styx yelled, “Death to all Mind Flayers!” Though Luna agreed with Styx on that comment she focused on ordering her metal rats. Arc was running at full speed in full armor without any fatigue as he was chanting a spell.

Tav watched from the hill extremely impressed and turned on. "I can't wait to get to know every inch of him." Demonsbane watched for a moment before sliding down the really steep hill. Shi'za looked long enough to see the enemy were Mind Flayers then jumped down the hill.

Styx looked back and saw Demonsbane and Shi’za charging from behind. She laughed as she said,”Looks like we’re getting back up now.”

Fera watched long enough to see why Tav was horny. "Anyone got a bucket of cold water? Tav needs to regain her focus." One of the magic users in the party doused Tav with water. "Thanks." Fera called back. Tav screamed when water was dumped on her. "What in the name of the Nine Hells was that for?" Fera slapped Tav playfully on the shoulder. "You were lost in lust looking at that warrior." Tav grunted, which was supposed to be a thank you. "Everyone charge." Tav slid down the hill. Fera followed suit. "You're welcome."

Arc finally finished his spell and summoned lightning from the sky to rain down on a large crowd of Mind Flayers to kill or wound them so they could be picked off easily. As the lightning exploded in the middle of the mind Flayer group they screamed in pain as they were blasted off the ground. This alerted anyone in the area that a new threat was coming. Styx yelled,”Take that you filthy animals!! Arc is gonna send you all back to hell!!” Styx was high on adrenaline as she told Arc where all the enemies were as he pulled out his great sword and began cleaving them in half. Luna remained behind Arc as she sent her metal rats to attack the Mind Flayers and explode. They knew this would create an opportunity for the Glowing Knight and the Bard to regroup. It also created an opportunity for their back up to take advantage of the chaos.
