Brief History

Tav grew up in Baldur’s Gate, the child of a blacksmith. She learned the trade but had little interest in it. She became a soldier and later a mercenary. Her most recent employer was interested in an Adamantine Forge he discovered resided in the Underdark. By the time they got to the forge half of them were dead, the other half died fighting the Adamantine Golem that appeared the first time they activated the forge. Tav and Nemar Nohei a wizard were the sole survivors. Tav’s legs were grievously injured during the fight with the golem and needed amputation. After enchanting the mithral Nemar used the mold for Adamantine boots to create prosthetics for Tav.

While getting used to her new legs Tav created several more pieces of Adamantine weapon and equipment. Tav could not find a mold for a helmet, or gauntlets and her old ones were either lost to lava or damaged beyond repair. She replaced her helmet with the Grymskull Helm. Her gauntlets she replaced with ones she got off a dead Dark Justiciar, she did not like it, but she didn’t have a choice.

On their way out they almost ran into some bad-looking people (Nere and his Cult of the Absolute followers and slaves). While low on supplies and food they decided a fight was a bad idea. They looked for a way around or another way out but there was only one way out, through the bad-looking people. They prepared themselves for a fight but when they got there the bad-looking people they were going to fight were dead.

Eventually, they returned to Ebonlake Grotto, after resupplying and resting they made their way out of the Underdark and went their separate ways. Tav started heading back towards Baldur’s Gate, but Mind Flayers were everywhere, she fled before they could see her. She knew where Nemar was going so made haste to catch up with him. By the time she found him so had a Mind Flayer. She killed the Mind Flayer, but it was too late, he was turning. Amid his transformation she killed him. She took his family ring she hoped to return it to his family one day, and if she couldn’t she would wear it in honor of him.
