Tav was about ready to let the others know she set off for Neverwinter with Fera and Shi'za so they could bring the others and get going when Luna handed her the list. "That thing is fixable!?" She looked through the list wondering what kind of divine favors they were going to have to do some unspeakable things to obtain. "Doable, doable." She got to the end of the list. "What in gods' names is a Dybbuk? Where would I even find one?"
Arc was surprised that the Nautiloid could be fix and useable for them. Arc asked, “So will this really be useful?” Luna replied, “Imagine having a flying combat ship at your disposal.” Arc chuckled and said, “ Oh my. That does sound good but can we really find the materials to fix it?”
Fera looked over the list. "Pretty sure I read in a book Dybbuk's are incorporeal. How is that going to fix the ship?" Shi'za had heard of them before nasty necromantic bastards. Demonsbane was as clueless as Tav is.
Luna replied, “Dybbuks are a type of loumara (disembodied demonic spirits) that could possess and control dead bodies. They parasitically inhabited mortal corpses in order to partake in their vices and would murder others to steal their forms. Dybbuks had a driving compulsion to indulge in material pleasures, but lacked the corporeality to do so in their normal forms. To achieve their wicked ends, they used the bodies of the first suitable, dead mortals they could find, judging the quality of a corpse by its physical condition, attractiveness, social ties to its society, and whether or not their death was known. It was disputed how many memories of the deceased they inherited, if any, but their natural deceptiveness and acting ability helped them to pass as their host regardless, normally keeping the victim's possessions and imitating their lifestyle.“
Arc asked, “Okay but how would you even get one of those things?” Luna smirked as she replied, “I can use some of those Mind Flayer corpses as bait and trap it. Then I implant a control collar on it and use it as the substitute for the main engine and power core for the ship. I can also strip some Mind Flayer parts to make a pilot. So I won’t have to fly it all the time.” Arc was impressed by all this as he asked, “So how long all that work would take to finish?” Luna replied, About a week or two if all goes well.”
"Mission what mission? I was just minding my own business flying to Neverwinter when one of those squid head grabbed me and tried to eat me. That knight killed the squid head before it could eat me. I am no soldier or adventurer."
Styx replied to Frost and said, “Well since you have been gone we have been dealing with a lot of bad stuff like the Mind Flayers and their allies. Since you seem to have crappy luck hanging around, I think you owe me some bonding time.” Frost shrugged as he had no logic to be selfish on the topic. He replied, "Okay I'll try to be there for you with your mission. Even though I am not to sure what it really is." Frost then looked at Vallana as asked, "Is it okay if I try to bond with you as well? I know its a lot to ask but I am trying here."
Shadowfang was on patrol while these adventurers screwed around.
Luna said, “Well if everyone else fine with me fixing up the Nautiloid, I will need some help, some body parts and a sectioned off area to trap the Dybbuk. “ Arc volunteered to help Luna out and she released more of her metal constructs to help her prepare for the ship’s maintenance and repairs.
