Maseo's Report
JP with Redsword, Jaxx, Lasersexpanther and Cindy
Dr. Jackal pondered a bit from Ms. Lagrave's report and he remembered seeing this behavior before. He knew he had seen behavior like this many times but he was struggling to remember when and where he experienced it before. Then Lily whispered to Dr. Jackal, "I wonder how these werewolves would react if they met your other half good doctor." Then like a bolt of lightning, his memories flooded his mind with Big Red chasing off hordes of people and animals alike. Of course it gave him a headache and he pinched the nerve on the bridge of his nose to ease his mind. Lily asked, "Are you unwell good doctor? Is it a stroke?" Dr. Jackal smirked as he replied, "More like a stroke of enlightenment. Lady Elizabeth and Ms. Lagrave, I believe I have a clue to the odd behavior of the werewolves. As we know all creatures have a pattern to their behavior in a fight or flight situation. So when an Apex creature like a werewolf, or several of them are moving away from a place, it usually means an even bigger threat took over their territory. Now what could possibly scare off a werewolf in the wild? Sadly something like myself or a bad copy no less. Perhaps the cult brought some form of my potion to this place?"
Elizabeth pondered on what the good doctor had said for a moment. "You make a valid point, Doctor Jackal." She paused. "The cult running to a remote part of Norway is certainly not outside the realm of possibilities. However, I do advise everyone to think of other things that might contribute to the werewolves' odd behavior, that are not cult related, as well. It would be best if we do not put all of our eggs in one basket - even if that particular basket seems very likely and should be at the top of our list possibilities." She was by no means discounting Jackal's idea, instead it was more a suggestion to not rule out other possibilities.
Before Sasha spoke again Masao spoke. "I heard the same thing about the old woman, got the idea it's just on the main path or there about." he said, "As for the other threats...." he paused "A man named Alviss suggested Trolls." he said.
Sasha shook her head. "Unlikely, though trolls exist, I highly doubt there are any here." She said, "We can't deny looking out for them would be a good idea, but we shouldn't put our focus on that being the main danger we need to be aware of." she said
Elizabeth nodded, "We will place Trolls as another possibility, but under Dr. Jackal's suggestion of the Children being involved. If anyone thinks of other possibilities to either the werewolves' actions or the missing village, keep them in mind, we will go over those at another time." The Eldren focused back on the monster hunter. "Miss Lagrave, do you have anything else to report?"
Vor took some notes in his notepad on potential dangers to research, such as the werewolf behavior, troll culture and the cult. He felt he could help contribute to the team with knowledge since this was his home turf as they say. Cronk on the other hand rubbed his chin as he pondered having to fight a werewolf and a troll. Even with his limited thought processes he realized it would be a challenge without proper gear. Perhaps Lorem could help him if needed. She was very smart when it came to stuff like that.
Sasha thought for a moment. "Keeping an ear out for hunters and not straying from the Carriage without wearing something that sets you apart from the landscape." she said. "Anything even slightly within the brown spectrum is likely to draw fire if you are just waltzing through the woods." she said.
"That is good advice." Sensing there was nothing else for Sasha to report, Elizabeth turned to Maseo. "Capitan Maseo, did you have anything else to report?"
Sasha sat back down, but Masao didn't rise; he spoke from his seat. "I gathered largely the same information Ms. Lagrave did. Though my contact seemed to be less skeptical of the troll issue." he said. "Didn't seem to want me to think he believed it but I think he did." he said rubbing a temple. "Though drinking with a dwarf does have some drawbacks. I will agree that we shouldn't fear having to fight one or rather fear seeing one but we should be aware of the threat." he said. "Always know you have a winning hand before you play. We should be ready for any eventuality."
