Vor's Report
JP with Redsword, Jaxx, Lasersexpanther and Cindy
"Yes," Elizabeth nodded in agreement to Maseo's comments, "I will now give Mr. Aster's report and then open the floor for additional comments or questions. Apparently, there was a village, about a day or so away from the most recent village to go missing, about 50 years ago. It was also a Dwarven village. The village members were never found, but there was a drawing left in the dirt. Word has it it was faded a bit and likely animals had walked on it so the best that could be made out was a circle with what looked like might have been the runic symbol for danger." She picked up a book and turned to.a page, then showed the drawing on the page. "This is the Dwarven symbol for danger. Now the village has been left alone, because the Dwarves consider it cursed and no one else will disturb a place where something like that happened, but we might want to investigate that area as well."
OCC: Dwarven runic symbol for danger
Elizabeth let everyone get a good look at the image before moving on, "Now, were there any additional comments or questions?"
Sasha scribbled the symbol down and then had a pensive look on her face, clearly thinking of something serious but seemed to not say anything though gave Elizabeth a quick look that it was a more private thought. "Are there other symbols marking things like this we should be aware of? Symbols for something like for example 'gas' like leaks in the mine?" she was primed to take more notes.
"Not that I am aware of, Mr. Aster, you would know more about the runic language of the Dwarves, I believe." Elizabeth asked the Arundan.
Vor nodded, "Yes, the runic language is a series of symbols. They have symbols for words they use on a more frequent basis or might need to write quickly, such as the danger symbol. The other words are spelled out. A gas leak would likely have the danger symbol , plus symbols for air or the words 'bad air' spelled out. If the mine is safe there is a rune for that word."
While Vor was talking, Elizabeth found the images of the words in the book and showed them to everyone.
OOC: Rune for air.
OOC: Rune for safety
Sasha scribbled down the notes, they weren't one hundred percent perfect but they would do that job if she encountered them. "Thank you, Lady Elizabeth and Thank you Mr. Aster." she said before she leaned over the table more. Blocking the view of the new page she was writing one finishing something before closing the book, fully paying attention once again.
"Did anyone have any other comments or questions?" Elizabeth asked.
