The Duke and Duchess For Tea (Part 3)

Elizabeth was wondering where Lorem, Maseo and Nugbu were. Harold came in, bowed, and said something to Elizabeth. Elizabeth said, "Father and Mother, will you excuse me for a moment."

She left the room, returning a few moments later with Nugbu. "Father and Mother, this is Nugbu. He was rescued from the Children." While she had sent her father a report about the matter, he likely hadn't gotten a chance to read it. Nugbu managed a not too deep bow. It was respectful. "Duke and Duchess, welcome. I not stay at tea. Team. - I not team."

It was true the tea was for the team members but Liz felt bad leaving out Nugbu. Until, Harold said, "Nugbu has said he would like to offer security tonight."

"Would you rather do that than stay at tea," Elizabeth asked the Orc.

"Yes, much." Nugbu responded.

Well, it was his choice. "Very well. Harold, make sure Nugbu has what he needs." Elizabeth responded.

With that Harold and Nugbu left the room.

Placing one hand over his heart he bowed to the Duke ``Your Grace I am at your service. I look forward to having time with you." replied Sung with a smile.

It was a few minutes later that Harold returned. After another bow, gave a message to Elizabeth, then he left. Elizabeth then said to her parents. "Miss Ipsum got tied up installing the security system and is running late. She will be here as soon as she is able."

Both the Duke and Duchess said they understood. Elizabeth knew they would as security was important. She did though hope Lorem didn't miss the entire tea.

Dr. Jackal looked around at the others as he remained quiet. He was not sure what to say since he was blessed by the support of Lady Elizabeth and her family, however he also felt guilty since he let Big Red out on a rampage twice since his employment. He knew that was going to be on the reports sent to him from both the Baron and Lady Elizabeth. He was trying to stay humble and not "rock the boat" as they say when one is in a tight spot. So he tried to act like a wallflower as he remained smiling and quiet. Lily on the other hand was a prim and proper lady as she maintained her manners. As a woman from the upper crust, she was trained to carry herself properly and maintained her composure even under stress. Granted she was troubled by the loss of her father recently and the up coming trouble that would soon come with the inheritance to herself and her mystery siblings. However she took solace that she was under the care of Lady Elizabeth and her family. Granted she didn't need all her father's money and business now that she was in the Order but she wanted to show she was useful to the team and the Baron so would back off. The whole situation was enough to give her stomach pains, but she needed to endure and prevail. As she looked at Dr. Jackal it gave her courage to see he was still trying to over come his own inner demon with a smile. She smiled at him and wished they could spend more time together in the future. Then she looked at the Duke and Duchess as she maintained her composure and replied to them in a proper manner.
