How To Catch a Dragon

As they got closer to the dragon's lair. She stood in front of them. "Don't be stupid. Don't move until I have time to check for some advantage spots." The don't be stupid comment was directed at the barbarian. Tav could see Shi'za looking about ready to charge in at any minute. She signaled to Shadowfang to grab her if she tried to run off.

Arc pulled out his Holy Thunder Sword of Caladbolg and moved to the side in case he could flank the dragon by chance.

Tav went ahead. The dragon's cave entrance was at the foot of a mountain range forming a small area resembling a box canyon. Before Tav could search more the dragon came out shooting fire. Tav barely got out of the way in time. The woods they were travelling were set ablaze by the dragon. Tav behind a giant rock. "Geez what the bloody fucking hell did it do that for?" The others caught up to her. "Okay new plan. There is no plan. Just get that bastard on the ground. Arc I believe you're the best bet for that. The rest shoot him with your bows."

Arc took this chance to power up his sword and summon a lightning bolt to strike the dragon from above. With the others distracting the dragon, it gave him time to channel his magic.

Tav, Demonsbane, & Shiza pulled out their crossbows while Shadowfang pulled out his Zephyr Greatsword. "Fang? I said pull out your bow." Fang looked at her. If you could see his face you would see a shit eating grin. "This much better trust me. Arc your lightning power if you can aim for this sword after I throw it."

Arc was channeling large amounts of magic into the holy sword to get a huge lightning bolt attack.

Shadowfang waited and waited until just the perfect moment and threw it at the dragon's chest. The sword was imbedded just south of the heart. "Shit I missed the heart. Now Arc."

Arc finished his spell and channeled his energy through his holy sword as it released it into the sky. Then in a blinding flash a giant lightning bolt came down from the sky and into Shadowfang’s sword. This sent pain and electricity through the mighty dragon’s body as it screamed in pain. Though the attack only took a moment, it left the dragon hurt and crawling as it tried to recover.

Then in a fit of anger the dragon charged the group in hopes to stomp on them in hopes to squash them out of spite. Arc ran up to the dragon to slash at it, but in a fit of rage the dragon stomped on Arc with all its weight. Arc barely had time to set up a barrier before he was smashed into the ground.

Then the dragon moved slowly towards the others to stomp them as well but then it paused as if it was suddenly surprised by something. Unknown to them all, Arc was still protected by his barrier as he was pushed into a sink hole by the dragon. Arc used that chance to get under the dragon’s belly and enchant his holy sword with lightning before he sliced the belly of the dragon. Then Arc ran for cover to avoid being squashed for real.

Then dragon reeled in pain as it paused to howl while its back legs buckled in pain.
