The march to the dragon

As they marched Tav began humming to herself a song she heard several years ago. Shadowfang recognized the song. "Holding Out for a Healer? I heard that years ago. Don't remember who it was. Cute little fairy creature. I had to smack some people down who and I quote wanted to 'fuck the wings off of her'. Don't know if that was supposed to be a play on 'fuck her brains out' or if it was racist. I decided to err on the side of caution." Tav stopped humming at the fuck the wings off of her comment. "What the hell is wrong with people?" Shadowfang volunteered more info. "They were drow." Tav sighed heavily. "That explains it a little. Geez they are a fucked up people."

As they got closer to the dragon's lair. She stood in front of them. "Don't be stupid. Don't move until I have time to check for some advantage spots." The don't be stupid comment was directed at the barbarian. Tav could see Shi'za looking about ready to charge in at any minute. She signaled to Shadowfang to grab her if she tried to run off.

Tav went ahead. The dragon's cave entrance was at the foot of a mountain range forming a small area resembling a box canyon. Before Tav could search more the dragon came out shooting fire. Tav barely got out of the way in time. The woods they were travelling were set ablaze by the dragon. Tav behind a giant rock. "Geez what the bloody fucking hell did it do that for?" The others caught up to her. "Okay new plan. There is no plan. Just get that bastard on the ground. Arc I believe you're the best bet for that. The rest shoot him with your bows."

Tav, Demonsbane, & Shiza pulled out their crossbows while Shadowfang pulled out his Zephyr Greatsword. "Fang? I said pull out your bow." Fang looked at her. If you could see his face you would see a shit eating grin. "This much better trust me. Arc your lightning power if you can aim for this sword after I throw it."

Shadowfang waited and waited until just the perfect moment and threw it at the dragon's chest. The sword was imbedded just south of the heart. "Shit I missed the heart. Now Arc."
