Into The Fray

After dropping off the dragon hunting team Luna and her crew set off in the air to hunt down the hoard of monsters they needed to defeat. Arc looked at Tav, Demonsbane, Shadowfang and Shi'za and said, "Shall we hunt a dragon?"

Then Luna had Bobby Flay fly the air ship towards the monster stampede so they could wipe them out and save the town nearby. So after a bit of flying Styx used the spy scope and saw some movement ahead. Then as she focused on the area she recognized several of the monsters in a large hoard moving towards the town. She then said, "Luna I see them up ahead!" After Luna got the bearings of the monster's direction she had Bobby head towards them as she announced the others to get into battle stations. Several crew members began getting ready to fire their ship ballistae and the main catapult at the enemy. Then Vallana moved to the area where her voice could be heard by everyone.

Vallana was by nature a pacifist, she's never intentionally hurt anyone on purpose. She would defend herself if necessary but she preferred to avoid a fight if necessary. She did her best to help out though. As she worked she began to sing her best song.

Where have all the good monks gone?
...and where are all the priests?
Where`s the group-wise paladin to dispel my disease?
Isn`t there a holy knight upon a shiny stead?
Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need!

I need a healer!
I`m holding out for a healer to the end of the run!
They`ve gotta be skilled...
...and the`ve gotta be calm
...and the`ve gotta be second for none.

It's around this time Vallana stops working and just busts out her lyre and starts playing like people are paying her.

The song inspired the others take this battle on with great fortitude. Frost joined in with playing his lute as well to increase the power of the battle song. Then Luna looked at her telescope to see if they were in range of the enemy as she patiently aim her magic cannon at the enemy. Then once they were in range she yelled "FIRE!" as she blasted the magic cannon at the center of the front of the hoard. The blast sent monsters both dead and wounded, flying in the air and making it rain body parts on the hoard to cause confusion. Then the catapult fire soon after releasing magic bombs scattered into the front line of the confused hoard. As they exploded they sent more monsters both dead and wounded, flying in the air and making it rain even more body parts on the hoard to cause panic. Then Luna had Bobby turn the ship to the starboard side so the crew could shoot a volley of ballistae bolts at the monsters. Then Bobby rotated the ship to the port side so the crew could fire a second volley of ballistae bolts at the monsters. Bobby continued this so each side could reload before their next turn to fire at the monsters.

The raining explosives and bolts tore into the monsters leaving many dead and and many wounded at the beginning of the hoard. Then helped by making a wall of corpses at the beginning of the hoard to slow them down. Luna was glad that they gained the upper hand but was not about to drop her guard since she was worried about surprises so she had Styx keep an eye out for flying monsters and anything that could be a game changer.
