What’s That

The team and the city guard fought off the Mind Flayers for another twenty minutes. After finishing off the Mind Flayers clerics from around the city came to heal the injured. The dead were incinerated just in case. Carla the Cleric she spent extra time on Shi'za first she reset her nose first and then cast her hearing magic on it.

Styx found it amusing that Shi’za got that messed up due to her sloppy fighting. Arc was glad his helmet hid his face and his expressions for several reasons. Oddly enough neither he nor Luna and Styx were injured during the fight since worked so well together. Arc was the tank, Styx the scout and Luna was the rear magical attacker. The main downside was that Luna needed to replace a lot of her rat constructs. She collected what she could to salvage but a lot of the material was lost due to them exploding.

Tav gathered the team together. "It's only a few hours to sunrise. I think we should go ahead stay up and make our way on to the Mind Flayer ship. What say you?" Virtually everyone agreed. Tav designated a small group to stay behind. "Stay here and defend the city if any get by us. Follow the orders of the city guard, until we get back consider yourselves one of them. When we are done we will come back and move on to the next destination.

Arc and the others didn’t want to waste any more time on the mission. They agreed to take over the mind-flayer ship and purge the enemy at the same time. So once the plan was set they grabbed some grub at the tavern before setting off to the direction of the ship.

Tav gathered up numerous torches and passed them around then she led them on towards the Mind Flayer ship.

The walk was long and exhausting for the team, and even though they didn’t sleep much, they pressed on. Along the way they ran into some small monsters in the way, but powered through them non the less. Then when they were feeling worn out they saw the top portion of the ship above the trees. Seeing as they were not sure about the threat inside the ship they sent Styx to scout it out.
