The New Estate of Duke and Dutchess Ellington
Early Evening

After Elizabeth spoke with Dr. Jackal about his findings, she had one more important task of the day. This was one however she would not be doing alone.

The Eldren went to find Sung, she could have sent a servant but was already out of the office and wanted to get back before dinner.

Finding her mentor and second in command wasn't difficult as her gaze spotted the man in the library, sitting and sipping what was likely tea. "Good evening, Mr. Sung”

"Good evening Lady Elizabeth, things have been busy I see so you made time to see your old master?" replied Sung with a crafty smile. "How may I help you?" asked Sung, sipping his tea.

She smiled at the man, "Yes, quite busy but I would always make time for those that matter to me." She didn't bother sitting. "I was going to check on my parents' new home, make sure everything is in order and would like you to accompany me. You would have the opportunity to check the security.”

"Leadership suits you Lady Elizabeth. I am always honored to accompany you anywere," replied Sung standing and finishing his tea. Sung strident his jacket. I don't think we will need me to carry a sword," suggested Sung with a smile. I dont think we will be in danger unless any dust bunnys are still around." Joked Sung walking to get his cane by the door.

Elizabeth breathed a laugh. She affected a white hat with blue and white flowers a blue ribbon to her head, tying the a bow with the ribbon under her chin. With that the two made their out the door and down the street.

The elders' Ellington Estate was not far, only two blocks to the left and across the street. This area, while still technically Paris, was never as busy or noisy as the bustling streets of further towards the center. Tonight was no exception. They passed few others and no vehicles as they made their way to the other house.

The air was warm, and smelled of the lilacs and apple blossoms so much in bloom at this time of year.

Elizabeth was taking her time, just enjoying the evening air and her company on the stroll. They weren't in a hurry, after all.

The manor came into sight, it wasn't as big as the home Elizabeth was using but it by no means was small. With its off white coloring and grey shutters it was quite elegant looking. The lights were on, and movements could be made out inside, which was a good thing as the servants were busy. Elizabeth double checked the address, having not ventured here before.

"This is the place." The Eldren declared.

Sung let out a "Hmm..." looking at the house. "This will be ok for my lord I suppose," commented Sung. He looked over the grounds. "From here what do you see, Lady Elizabeth?" asked Sung looking over to her.

"Other than a nice house?" Elizabeth had a bit of a grin, she knew that's not what Sung was asking. Looking over the house. "I see bushes to hide in. A balcony someone could climb to. I am a little surprised there is no front gate."

Elizabeth glanced at the man next to her, feeling like she probably missed a breach or two.

Sung smiled, she had come so far he thought. He was proud of his apprentice. and to see her grow into the leader she has become. A thought came to his mind that she might even surpass her father in that category. Sung felt a tug in his heart that thought She would outgrow him. He may not be needed soon.

"Do not forget about the magic element in the assessment. An animal could be a Familiar or be used as a scout. Also the movement in the windows. Someone could track your father and wait until he is alone. So it takes a minute to get a good assessment of those things," explained Sung looking at Elizabeth. "You have grown so much. I am not sure how much longer you will need this old man." Sung said with a wink and a smile trying to hide how Sung felt about leaving Elizabeth one day.

Elizabeth knew only nature mages could actually communicate with animals, and familiars weren't common, at least not in Europe. "True, are familiars more prevalent in your homeland. I have met very few mages that have them." It was a good thing to note, if that was the case. The Eldren nodded. "I am guessing my father will ward the windows but the door, at least during the day, is trickier." They would have people coming into and going out of the house, so, like at Elizabeth's home it made it difficult to ward the entire house. Elizabeth gently smiled at the man, "Thank you, but I think my days of not needing you are still a ways off." She took one last glance around. "Shall we head to the door?”
