Tattoo Days (Pt 4)
“Wish I could tell you but I'm not sure myself,” he admitted.
Seele shrugged and smiled when the food arrived. “Ready to eat?!”
“Starving” he chuckled before digging in.
Seele ate happily, as if she wasn’t sure when she’d get her next meal, but she was also savoring every bite.
Lyle ate quickly old habits from the military resurfacing.
“Don’t choke on your food.” Seele said with a giggle.
“Sorry use to eating fast in case of ambushes “ he replied blushing.
“We aren’t gonna be ambushed here.” Seele pointed out with a grin.
“I hope not” he chuckled “would put A damper on the evening.”
“Indeed,” Seele said, getting a feeling she was forgetting something. “Hmm…”
“something on your mind?” he asked before eating some noodles.
“I keep feeling like I forgot something…” Seele admitted just before her phone chimed. Pulling it out, she looked at it and groaned. “Skorn! I forgot I was helping him today! Wait…” Reading over the text, she let out a sigh of relief. “Well, he got a flat tire and has to cancel getting the supplies, so I’m good.” She giggled. “Idiot punched a guy yesterday over a girl’s honor and is paying the consequences now.”
“Do you still need help getting the supplies” he asked.
“No, Skorn said it was picked up and dealt with by another member of the Underground.” Seele explained.
“That's good. I would have felt guilty if I would take you away from something important” he admitted.
Seele shrugged. “It’s honestly normal for me.” She admitted. “Delilah does all she can, but there just isn’t enough help when it comes to metas. As a meta sympathizer, I do what I can.”
“I’d like to meet her and see where I can help” he replied.
“I plan to head there next week.” Seele said before taking the last bite of her food.
“Do you mind if I join you?” Lyle asked.
“I don’t mind at all.” Seele replied. “Delilah might make you go through some tests, though.”
“I can handle whatever they throw at me” Lyle replied with a grin.
“We'll see,” Seele sipped her water. “Not many people can handle Delilah.”
“Sounds like a tough woman” he chuckled.
“She is, but she also owns a bazooka and has proven she’s not afraid to use it.” Seele giggled. “I still remember that time Mark accidentally walked in on her while she was changing clothes…”
“Who's Mark and how did that end?” He asked curiously.
“Mark is our tech guy in the Underground. He’s always helped keep everyone in contact. Sadly, MegaCorp based their collars and suppression chips off his meta power.” She replied before smirking. “Delilah gave him a good right hook, but I think things have escalated to fucking by now.”
“Quite the way to start a Relationship” he chuckled grabbing his drink.
