“Yeah, but from my understanding, Delilah grew up on a farm, so that’s normal for her.” Seele said with a shrug and finished her drink.

“So do your dates normally start with shootouts with MegaCorp?” He teased.

“No, but then I’m normally on dates.” Seele explained before calling over the waitress. “Can we get the check? I want to go on a nice walk with my date.”

The waitress glared at Seele, but nodded. “One check or are you two paying separately?” She asked.

“Together” he answered, taking Seeles's hand as he pulled some cash out of a pocket and paid the bill.

The woman snorted and left to get the bill.

“I don’t suggest tipping her.” Seele rolled her eyes.

“Read my mind” he whispered with a grin.

Once the bill was paid and they left the building, Seele took Lyle’s hand and pulled him along toward a park nearby. “This is my favorite place to just relax and walk around.” She explained softly.

“Can't remember the last time I walked through one” he chuckled, enjoying the atmosphere.

“Wow,” Seele tilted her head as she noticed a familiar brunette and waved to her. The woman waved back and kept walking by with her tarantula that was in a hamster ball held under her arm. “That’s my bestie, Bronya.”

“she seems nice” he replied impressed with the spider “how did the two of you meet?”

“High school,” Seele said. “Before her meta powers manifested. She is basically a spider. Just hiding her other four arms.”

“Does she have any other spider abilities?” He asked genuinely curious.

“Yeah, but that’s all up to her if she wants to share.” Seele giggled.

“Fair enough” he chuckled “You seem to know a lot of interesting people.”

“Only some not. Not a lot.” Seele admitted with a soft yawn. It was getting late.

“Shall I escort you back to your home my lady” he asked in a teasing tone.

“You mean you’d actually do that?” Seele sounded genuinely shocked.
