Run Run You Coward
Jasper smiled at the sight of Taw and stumbled over to her. “You’re okay!” He said with a smile, looking down at the baby. “You made the most perfect child…”
“Are they in love?” Skorn asked, looking at them before turning to Silver, Sarah and Lyle. “If you try to stop us, I will kill you.”
“Try it, mohawk.” Silver grinned back, always ready for a fight, but Sarah’s grip on his arm made him stop.
Hilda took her children back from Nilima. “Lets just get out of here.” She said sternly. “We can talk later.”
Taw blushed slightly, shyly looking away for a moment. “They’re perfect.” She still had not had a chance to determine the baby’s sex but as far as she was concerned the baby was perfect.
Lyle looked at Seele before rushing over and hugging her.
Seele was silent and hugged Lyle back with one arm since she was still holding a shotgun. They needed to get moving.
Unknown tossed Lyle a rifle “just like old times” he chuckled.
Lyle nodded and stayed close to Seele as they made their way out.
“Old times…” Hilda whispered as she looked down at one of her sons. He was a little over a year old while the second was only a few months old.
Now, all she could hope for was that Duuk and Doron did not stop them.
“Hilda, what the hell are you doing?” Duuk demanded as he and his second blocked the door.
Hilda stopped in her tracks, lips forming a thin line as she stared at Duuk and Doron. What could she do now? Holding her two boys close, she glanced toward Lyle, Skorn, Az and the others. “Stay with me,” She told Taw and Nilima, using her shadows to move them behind her protectively.
“Leaving, ya dickweed,” Skorn said as his knives formed a circle around Duuk and Doron. Seele was next to him and Lyle, aiming the shotgun at them.
Duuk had never felt so betrayed. “Run.” He told Doron as he charged towards the group of escapees, activating his powers. He was going to blow up entirely and kill them all before he’d let them escape.
Doron bolted…
