Bus Ride To Safety

Hilda instantly wrapped her darkness around everyone that was escaping. “TAW!” She yelled, reaching for her collar and using a sliver of power to cut it off.

The world bent around Taw as her powers returned to her. Feeling strong for the first time in forever, Taw glared at Duuk and the retreating Doron. The ground suddenly opened under them both and they vanished. Those with enhanced hearing might hear a faint, distant splash.

Lyle grabbed Seele “ we need to get out of here now”

Unknown nodded “stole a school bus should fit us all.”

Hilda’s power faded and she gasped heavily, feeling exhausted. “Thank you, Taw…” She said, shaking as she kept her children close. “I never thought this day would come…”

“Lets get going.” Skorn said as he looked over everyone.

Seele kept silent and pressed into Lyle while Silver and Sarah stood silently, staring at where the two biggest monsters in this place had been.

As for Jasper, he held Taw and her child close, just happy to know they were safe and free now. The whole place was, possibly.

Taw hugged Jasper, the world bending slightly less but was still slightly distorted. She was free now. Maybe… maybe she could be with Jasper now.

“Well…” Nilima said awkwardly, relieved that those two were gone but her future was still uncertain. “Sorry about the chair… nothing personal. I just didn’t. Want to… end up with the other one.” Doron was the lesser of two evils.

Lyle shrugged “It's fine let's just go I'm exhausted and this has been the longest and weirdest first date ever.” He replied leaning on Seele as he walked.

Skorn laughed. “A month long date, eh?” He joked and would lead everyone out to the bus. “I’m driving this time! You almost killed us on the way here!” He lit up another cigarette.

“Ohhhh, giant yellow box!” Silver chanted as he got on the bus with Sarah, happily going to back and poking around at everything.

“I think he needs a therapist…” Jasper whispered as they got on the bus.

Seele still didn’t speak, a look of fear still in her eyes as she looked at Nilima. She hoped the woman would come with them and learn that the Underground was far better than this hell was.

Nilima was not sure about this, but since Taw was getting on the bus she decided to get on too. She hoped she would not have to go through another Conversion in the Underground.

Taw sunk into one of the seats on the bus. The baby was starting to get hungry and fussy.

As Skorn drove, he happily smoked almost a pack of cigarettes.

Jasper would look at Taw and the baby. “I think it’s time for food. Maybe…uhm…” He grabbed a jacket that Seele offered and held it up around Taw so she could breast feed if need be.

Lyle kissed Seele's cheek before collapsing onto one of the seats leaving room for her.

Unknown chose to sit next to Hilda.

“Thanks.” Taw blushed, grateful for Jasper’s help. She was in actual pain at this point. She got her shirt opened and felt clumsy but the baby seemed to know what to do- which was a relief.

Nilima sat by herself near Taw and Jasper. She was nervous.

Jasper just smiled, happy to help.
