Surviving the 'Plex. - a play-by-post rpg

Using the first edition for Shadowrun, the characters must find a way to survive, thrive, and stay alive while earning a living within the near future where the real meets fantasy.

Storyteller's Notes: This is my first foray onto this platform so it'll be a bit of a learning curve but I have nearly 5 decades of table top gaming running from war games to RPGs to Play-By-Post. I ran several campaigns of varying sort on D&D Beyond a few years back but walked way with WoTc took over. Personally, I love this sort of format because there are so many rich and deep possibilities with the right sort of players. Question is, are you one?

As the tags imply, I also am open minded, preferring mature, serious players who are not easily offended by human (and not so human) personalities. I do believe in keeping within the boundaries set by the platform, though at this time I find them a bit vague. My personal preference is for players and the storyteller to remain in third person.

...Cara eased back, deeper into the shadows as the Corp's Security cruiser glided past. She was pretty sure that they hadn't spotted her, but there was always the chance that the Techs monitoring the laboratories systems had detected her slicing. Corps in general, and most assuredly, Maverick International, took their privacy very seriously. The threat was real, but so too, was the reward. The fixer had said it would be damn near impossible, but Cara thrived on the impossible.
Reaching the end of her silent count, she had given the patrol enough time, she hoped, to have moved around the far side of the facility before trying the door. Dark, slender, gloved fingers ever so lightly pushed down on the handle and pushed.
Nothing. No alarms. No shouts.
Releasing the breath she'd been holding, Cara pushed the door open just far enough to slip inside. Before her was a dimly lit corridor. A few doors, one wall mounted bulletin board of the sort Corp's loved to plaster with pointless menus and rules.
Now, to find a terminal and jack in...
