Heart Eater Strikes (Part 2)

Seth woke up when he heard the bang jumping to his feet he got dressed and opened the door and saw the monster as Klaire shot it. Using his powers he moved quickly and grabbed Klaire as he got them back towards Riley. “What do we do?”

Altus exited his room he was sharing with Shira. Noticing the creature he summoned a spear made of light.

“Right here!” Nine called to Tzeitel as he rushed up next to her and let out a growl. “Son of a…it’s that bastard.”

“Let go of me, Seth! I have to kill it!” Klaire screamed and struggled.

Umbral was out of her room and stepped before everyone, putting herself between them and the creature. “You are not welcome here!” She yelled at it.

The creature, Heart Eater, let out a guttural laugh as he loomed over Umbral. “That so, little light?” He asked as a black sludge began to pool from his body. It quick smoked upon landing on the floor, rising up to quickly start obscuring the air. “We shall see…”

Everyone would soon be clouded by the strange smoke.

“Stay close to me.” Tzeitel told Nine, determined to not lose anyone else. It was hard to see through the smoke so Tzeitel grabbed Nine’s hand with her own free hand, knife ready.

“Tarvitsemme saunan.” Piritta was disgusted being surrounded by this filthy smoke instead of cleansing löyly. Filled with rage, the Finn charged at Heart Eater with her birch handled knife.

Seth put Klaire down as Riley pulled Seth behind him protectively.

Heart Eater clicked his tongue as the lights began to flicker and spun toward Piritta. His clawed fingers swept out and went across her chest and stomach as she got close to him.

“PIRITTA!” Colt yelled as he followed her, seeing what the monstrosity was doing. “You-” Cursing, he swept a hand up and sent a harsh amount of wind at Heart Eater. All this did was force the beast to slide back slightly, the odd smoke swirling about as if it were unaffected.

“No, you all need to run!” Umbral yelled, looking toward Tzeitel and Nine pleadingly.

Klaire was trying to think of what to do, her mind going through different ideas and plans, but nothing came to mind. This monster, this Alpha They, was not something they could defeat right now. “We have to run…”

“Back to the city,” Kimber said as she took note of white sparks flying off Umbral’s horn.

“Tuo perverssi yritti napata tissit! Tapetaan hänet!” Piritta told Colt in annoyance. She was not going to be scared off.

Tzeitel barely acknowledged Umbral’s look, she was so focused on keeping Nine safe. As for running- she had only been staying here in hope that Riley was right and that Ami would be brought back to this place. Staying inside never felt right anyways. She held Nine’s hand tight and led him towards the closest door. She was flaring energizing pheromones and oil ran down her arms. “Move your ass, Klaire!”

Altus nodded and grabbed Shira before pulling her away from the creature.

Riley pushed Seth towards Klaire and the others before standing next to Umbral.

Nine jerked his hand free and grabbed onto Klaire and Seth, pulling them both along with him and Tzeitel as they made their way toward the door, James close behind to keep them moving. Colt followed their lead by literally picking up Piritta in his arms for once and carrying her along with the others.

Kimber grasped onto Amit’s arm and went with Atlus and Shira.

Just as the strange fog began to split open, Umbral’s light burst out and she shot it at Heart Eater. The monstrosity’s eyes flashed as he opened up his chest and took the strike of light as if it were nothing. In fact, his body was absorbing it, consuming it. “My turn…” He growled out and twisted his body, striking out with claws and darkness.

Worried for Riley’s safety, Umbral used her light to shove him outside with the others. “GO!” She screamed.

The moment everyone was outside, the house was engulfed in a large shield of light and darkness. There were slashing sounds, roaring and screaming, flashes of light and strange explosions…
