Personality

Dr. Rideout is a perfectionist with a pathological need to solve the most difficult puzzles he can find. His remarkably calm demeanor and apparent inability to be angered lend to his facade of decency. In reality, Thomas is a wicked sadist. Naturally, a world renowned neurosurgeon would have a God-complex, but most of the Doctor's cohorts would not literally believe they have the moral right to decide who lives and who dies. In a stunning display of irony, Dr. Thomas Rideout is a devout eugenicist. The mutating effects of the Rupture have proved invaluable to his bioengineering research, creating a higher demand for live captures.

Backstory

Thomas was considered the world's greatest neurosurgeon before the Rupture by a long stretch. His talents elicited reality TV show deals, book deals, and even a movie deal. With a perfect track record on the table, Thomas truly became a modern day Jesus of Nazareth. People believed he had divine powers of healing... or at least that's what Thomas imagined. It didn't take long for Halcyon to offer Thomas an obscene amount of money to join their ranks. Julius Maddox shared Thomas' belief in the transhumanist elegy. Even before the Rupture vindicated their belief in artifical evolution, Julius and Thomas were working together to achieve human perfection.

Once word got out that there was a high concentration of younger mutants near Big Basin, Wyoming, Thomas set up shop at Cheyenne Correctional center to create a new lab for his new subjects.
