Excitement at the Expo (part 2)

The two armed thugs slowly aimed their guns in the direction of Sasha and the girl in pink as they moved towards them while carefully avoiding the rubble scattered about. The explosion and falling debris had cause the patrons to scatter in a panic which would eventually alert security to their direction. The butler said, "Hurry you fools! Get the brat!" The two thugs grunted as they continued towards Sasha who was now seen as dangerous since she had a gun too. Then the butler looked to the mage and said, "Secure the brat so she doesn't scream on the way." The mage nodded as he was planning his next spell to make the girl in pink sleep. Suddenly the large pile of debris moved and caused the two thugs, the mage and the butler to pause. After a moment the pile of debris moved again and a low growl was heard from under it.

The growl sent shivers down the spines of the not so nice men trying to abduct the girl in pink. The two thugs pointed their guns at the moving debris emitting a low growl as sweat beads were forming on their face. The butler and the mage began slowly backing away from the pile as their instinct of fear was kicking in. Then like an explosion the debris flew up and around like it exploded from underneath. Then at the center of the flying debris was a huge hulking red demon in a shredded suit. Luckily the remainder of the slacks, though reduced to ripped shorts still covered the important parts despite being tight and revealing. As the hulking demon roared loudly it echoed through out the Expo. The two thugs got hit by some of the debris and then began shooting at the big red demon. Of course it only managed to piss off the demon as it kicked some debris and smashed the chests of the two thugs as they flew into a wall before dying.

Then the big red demon looked at Sasha and the girl in pink as he snorted. This freaked out the butler and the mage as the mage shot a fireball at the red demon and realized they should not have done that. The big red demon roared loudly as the butler and mage made a run for it. Seeing as his prey was escaping the big red demon chased after them laying a path of destruction along the way. The girl in pink seemed mesmerized by the big red demon when they looked at each other and seemed in a trance.

"Merde." Sasha grumbled. "las Mademoiselle," she gave the girl a small shake to get her to pay attention. "I must follow that red creature..." she said, "But I can not leave you behind." she said, tucking the large gun back somewhere hidden in her coat and pulling out one that was clearly made by the same person though this one had six smaller shots. Designed like a revolver. "I know you have no reason to trust me, but you need to come with me. If the constabulary arrives they will take you away, and if your butler should arrive they will surrender to custody to him." Sasha laid out the situation. "I have to follow that man." Sasha pointed the direction Big Red went. "I can take you with me and keep you safe, but once I leave I can not." Sasha held out a hand. "Will you allow me to protect you and give me your trust?" Sasha ask kindly but rather hurried.

The girl in pink was still in a bit of awe from seeing the big red demon so it took a moment for Sasha's words to sink in. It was then that the girl in pink realized what just happened. Sasha was right in that she had nowhere safe to go to now and till she could find her father she could be captured at anytime by the butler's thugs. She nodded meekly as she took Sasha's hand and said, "Okay. I guess I am safer with you than anyone else at the moment. Oh by the way my name is Lily.....Lily Lavigne and you are?"

"My name is Sasha LaGrave." Sasha said, she said taking Lily's hand. "I won't run to quickly but I need you to stay close and keep pace. I can't let him hurt people if I can help it." Sasha told her. Keeping her close Sasha led her pushing through the crush of people going to opposite direction she fought against them like a current until they thinned out and the pair could see the destruction and chaos in the streets.

Lily did her best to keep up with Sasha. It did help that she was very good at sports in her finishing school, but Sasha seemed to be on another level. However that seemed to be a less pressing matter as they followed along the trail of destruction made by the big red demon who was chasing after her butler and the mage with him. Lily hoped that the big red demon caught up with the butler and mage so she could escape her situation, but that was just hopeful wishing for now. As she was running with Sasha she began to realize just how insane her situation was now. She looked at Sasha and wondered if she was some super spy on a dangerous mission of sorts, however this conversation would have to wait since they were running very quickly past a lot of panicked people and a lot of destruction.

As the pair ran Sasha muttered under her breath "mon Dieu." as she scanned all the chaos unfolding in the red demon's wake. She knew now that if her guns were for anyone it would have to the the butler or the mage because even the larger caliber would do little more then anger the demon. "Do you know any place your Butler would run to besides your father?" Sasha asked, it's possible he could have set a rendezvous with the mage where more men might be waiting. If luck wasn't on their side it'd me more mages. Lucky for the butler they might have the numbers to take the beast down long enough to make a get away but not likely to kill it. All Sasha knew was she need a plan and fast.

As Lily was running with Sasha she was surprised to see the path littered with pieces of people's life works, lost shoes, smashed décor and croissants scattered along the ground. Lily was non to happy as she stepped on the fresh but soiled bread. She replied, "Ewwwww........ this is so gross." Then Sasha asked her a question and she had to think of where they were. Then she replied, "No.... we didn't arrive from this direction. I think we came from the opposite side. If he had a plan for this, he never told me." Lily seemed very concerned by running into a trap now.

"I didn't mean this..." Sasha gestured with her free hand to the destruction, "But if he'd planned on taking you somewhere against your will he'd have had a meeting place..." The two passed a few people now and then as they ran, running arms, holding legs or heads, clearly sporting spiritual injuries. The demon had clearly not attacked them and more so just bowled through them. "Well at least he hasn't killed anyone yet..." Sasha thought.

As they continued to follow the path of destruction, Lily did her best to keep her balance while running and hopping over trash, debris and holes in the ground. The big red demon obviously had no respect for public or private property. However it was clear to Lily that the big red demon seemed obsessed with hunting down her butler, Neville Baddington, and the mage he was with. In a way she was glad he was after them since she was rather pissed at the two herself, but lacked the necessary skills to do anything about it. Normally she would pay someone else to handle those kind of problems, but now the person that was hired to protect her was the very one who was out to get her. She wonder how long Neville had been planning on this kidnapping and what else he had planned for her and her father. As her anger welled up in her gut she let out a small grunt/growl while running. After an hour of running they ended up in the slums of a nearby area. As they looked around the whole place was in bad shape, but it was clear where the big red demon had passed through. Lily was scared and dumbfounded at the same time as she now realized they were heading towards the danger in this crazy situation. She asked Sasha, "So what is your plan when we catch up to them?"

Sasha flash the revolver to the girl in pink then flash a strange hooked sword on her hip called a Harpe. "Fight." Sasha said, "Me anyway, you'd run." Sasha told her. but looked only half convinced but not the least bit afraid. "I wish I'd have brought bigger tools." she thought. "Miss if I tell you to run, I want your word you will do as I ask."

Lily was very tense as she nodded at Sasha as she looked around to see where she could run to. Then it dawned on her that they were lost with a big angry demon nearby on top of her butler and a mage trying to kidnap her. She paused as she asked, "And where do you want me to run to? We are in the middle of nowhere in the slums. The two men after me are being chased by a big red monster and we are chasing after all three. I can't see this working out well for any of us." Lily had a frustrated teen look on her face showing that reality had just set in.

Sasha didn't now how to answer, "Just run, and keep running. Wherever you end up will be better then being torn to bits by the demon." Sasha said. As the pair continued on the destruction ramped up for a few blocks then seemed to slowly die down. As if the demon were losing steam. "Say close." Sasha said, pulling back the hammer of her revolver with a thumb and holding it at the ready, when they reached a block with no damage. They walked another short while, Sasha checking each alleyway they passed until she saw a wall sprayed with gore. "I believe we have found him." Sasha said moving Lily behind her to not let her see it before Sasha could assess the situation. The scene was truly brutal. The demon had smashed the mages legs, so he'd stop running then pried open his rib cages to get to his heart, and most brutally peeled back the skull cap like an orange, and the brain was removed. Near by laid the doctor, out cold, and nearly naked, shivering, hands can mouth smeared with blood from the mage. Sasha put her gun away and slowly started to walk towards the doctor "Docteur?" She said calmly, hands in a none threatening position. "Docteur, can you hear me?"

Dr. Jackal stirred as he woke up with a pounding headache. He felt like complete crap as he ached all over. He heard his name as his senses were recovering, but in his groggy state he was very confused. He looked around and slowly realized he was waking up from his usual nightmare. He saw debris everywhere and noticed he was sleeping on it as well. He also noticed the corpse next to him as well as the blood smeared on the walls and ground. Then he realized the metal taste in his mouth and red stains on his hands as he looked at the corpse with some remorse. It bothered him to see the evidence of his actions as Big Red, but he seemed to accept it rather quickly. He checked to see if his privates were still covered by his shredded clothes and seemed relieved that they were. He then spoke up to answer Sasha, “Ummmmm… yeah….I’m sorry you had to see this. Sad to say……but this is probably one of my better days.” Dr. Jackal looked around and asked, “Any idea where we are?”

Lily looked at Dr. Jackal in awe. She was now realizing it was the man who saved her who had turned into a big red demon. However rather than being afraid of him she oddly felt a connection to him since her situation was very similar to his. Unknown to anyone , even her own father, she was secretly a werewolf. Well more like a dysfunctional werewolf since she could only transform partially. Lucky for her this made it easier to hide from the public. Ever since she learned of this she kept it a secret since it would be a social suicide for her. As an heiress, she had to live up to a high standard in order to maintain her status and her father's. For many years in school and home she feared what others would do to her if they ever knew. However, seeing Dr. Jackal dealing with his much bigger problem in board daylight made her realize that her situation was not so big suddenly. She looked to Sasha to see what her response to this made would be?

Sasha looked around for a minute. "Remain here for a moment." she said before taking off. She arrived back soon holding a pair of trousers and a shirt. "Please raise your arms up." Sasha told the doctor. Once the doctor did and but with great strain Sasha helped him put on the shirt, it was large on him, as were the pants she helped him into, pulling up the pants what would be comically high if not for the shirt covering it and tying them on with a rope to keep them from following. "Now," Sasha said, "we get him out of here. Try and meet up with one of the others of my group. If we do not find anyone we return to our carriage and hope they didn't leave in the chaos." Sasha hooked an arm under Jackal and got him on his feet. "Help me steady him would you?" She asked Lily, "I can support his weight I just need help keeping him walking and balanced."

Lily was a bit confused as Sasha vanished and returned with some clothes. Lily was confused where she found the clothing in a short time and that she was willing to dress the man before her with no shame. Lily's face turned red as she saw the Doctor wearing very little till he was dressed. It was her first time seeing that much skin on a man. Surprisingly the Doctor seemed to be in very good shape and many lewd thoughts crossed her mind that would embarrass her to even mention. Then as Sasha asked her to help support the Doctor and she let out a meek, "Eeppp." Then she cleared her throat to regain her composure and moved into the position to aid the Doctor. As she put his arm around her shoulder she put one hand on his lower back and the other on his pectoral muscle to support him from falling forward. Oddly enough the doctor's scent sent shivers down her spine in a lewd manner which required her to clear her throat to regain her composure. As they walked she felt she was going to need a cold bath to get her mind right.

Dr. Jackal was in pain as he walked with the support of Sasha and Lily. He moaned a bit from the pain with each step till his muscles adjusted to his human form. Then it dawned on him that the girl in pink was with them. He asked, “Sorry miss have we met yet?” Lily smirked as she replied, “I am Lily Lavigne. Thank you for saving my life.” Dr. Jackal replied, “Oh yeah. That was you huh? Sorry if I came off a bit scary. The other guy is not big on manners or etiquette. I’m Dr. Maximilian Jackal.” The three continued back to where Sasha was leading them while hoping to avoid anymore trouble.

Sasha lead the group pulling into alley ways any time they saw any law, not that they were hiding or doing anything illegal strictly speaking at least, Sasha had stolen some clothes from strangers but in the chaos it was likely to be annoying but shrugged off. She was hiding them because it would take time and raise questions to deal with law enforcement. Eventually however after a trip that took twice as long as it should have the two arrived at a waiting steam carriage, Sasha loaded Maximillian in first, giving him one side to himself so he could stretch out and rest, it'd be a cramped affair but he could sort of lie down. Sasha had the girl Lily take a seat next to her, once settled and moving Sasha took off her hat a moment running a gloved had through her slightly sweaty matted hair. "You are quite a bit heavier than you look Docteur." Sasha commented, unsure if he was even lucid enough to fully understand what was happening.

Dr. Jackal tried to chuckle as he moaned a bit from the muscle pain. Transforming always came with a backlash of muscle cramps. He replied, "Sorry about that. Sadly this is one of my better days. Normally I don't get any help so I am usually on my own." Dr. Jackal sat up so he could stretch a bit. It sounded a bit painful as they heard some popping inside his body. Once he was done stretching Lily asked, "Doesn't that hurt Doctor?" Dr. Jackal chuckled in pain as he replied, "More you would ever want to know Mrs. Lavigne." Lily replied, "Please call me Lily." Dr. Jackal then replied, "Well Lily I am sorry I got you involved in my problem." Lily replied, "With all due respect Doctor, I believe I got you involved in my problem first."

Dr. Jackal nodded as he tried to pop his neck. Seeing as he was not going to ask, Lily replied, "Are you not going to ask about my problem Doctor?" Dr. Jackal replied, "Sorry I try not to be nosy since it gets me in trouble." Lily snorted and replied, "You are an odd one Doctor." Dr. Jackal replied, "That is an understatement of the year." Lily then replied, "True.....you are one of a kind Doctor. I do thank you for your aid. It seems my long time butler and caretaker hired men to attack my father and kidnap me. Lucky for me you and Miss. Sasha interfered. Had you not I can easily see myself in dire straits." Dr. Jackal replied, "Well I wish we could meet in better circumstances but hopefully we can reunite you with your family soon. Any idea on the best way to do that?" Lily shook her head no as she replied, "Sorry. I have no idea where my father is and if I go home now, I have no idea who will be waiting for me." Dr. Jackal asked, "Sasha I think this might be better handled in your hands for now. See if your contacts can find her father and if they can't it looks like Lady Elizabeth will have a new guest."

The duo arrived back to house shortly after dusk with their new friend Lily in toe.
