Lily's First Day

Lily was working in the mail room when she was summoned by Harold. It seems that she was summoned by Lady Elizabeth, so she follwed the butler to the room and waited till she was introduced and allowed entry. As Lily entered she saw Lady Elizabeth and Mr. Sung waiting for her. She was a bit nervous as she entered, especially after she smelled blood in the air. She wondered if somethng happened when they were gone. However it was improper to pry into some matters so she simply greeted them both and asked, "Did you need something of me Lady Elizabeth?"

"Miss Lavigne, please feel free to take a seat if you like." Elizabeth began, "I wanted to just check in and see how your first day went."

Elizabeth really wanted to make sure Lily was getting comfortable being here, she realized this had to be a big transition, then again not as big as what the young woman had already faced.

Lily sat in the chair before Lady Elizabeth and made herself presentable while listening to Lady Elizabeth. Lily replied, " Yes ma'am. I have been working with your butler Harold on streamlining your mail process. We set it up so any new secretary in the future could easily fill the job. Once we get the cupboard in we will finish the last part. Oh I also checked in on Dr. Jackal. He seems to get lost in his work and neglects his breaks so I paid him a visit to remind him to take better care of his health. If I am out of line please let me know."

"No, checking on the good doctor was an excellent idea. I am unsure how his particular condition affects his stamina, but I can't imagine missing meals is a good thing." Elizabeth then moved to the first item. "It sounds like you had a productive day, maybe tomorrow you can show me your system. Also, I was curious as to how you are at taking notes, when people are speaking, as in a meeting."

Lily took a deep breath and then replied, "Well as you know of my "situation" that I mentioned before. When I was in school I noticed that as time went by I was able to enhance my senses and my thoughts became faster. By doing this I was able to get good marks in school since I could memorize the content rather quickly. I used that skill to also learn some additional languages since I had plans to travel the world this Summer. Obviously that plan fell through since my father was kidnapped and I was rescued and brought here in your service. So if you need me to take notes in a meeting I should not have any problem as long as I know the language. As for your mail process I would be happy to show you once the cupboard is put in."

"Good, then tomorrow, after lunch there will be a meeting of some of the team members. You will be tasked with taking notes." Elizabeth thought for a moment. "That was all I had, but is there anything you need or want to ask?"

Lily took a deep breath before working up the courage to ask her question. She was doing her best to stay strong given her age and situation. She asked, "I know its a bit much to ask on my part but have you heard anything about my father or his abductors?" Lily was nervous since it was obvious she still had unresolved isses on this topic.

"I am sorry but things did get a bit... messy today. I have not been able to look into the kidnapping more. " Elizabeth sighed slightly. "I do promise, it will be looked into more in the near future. I understand this is a pressing matter. If anything is found out, I will be certain to fill you in." It was the best answer Elizabeth had.

The Eldren understood Lily asking, Elizabeth would be beside herself if her own father was ever kidnapped. However, the team could only do so much in one day. The time it had been that long since Lily's father was kidnapped.

"I'll be sending someone to pick up your things tomorrow. " In the chaos of earlier, getting Lily's things had completely slipped Elizabeth’s mind. "If you need anything before then let me know." She then asked again. "Is there anything else?"

Lily shook her head no as she replied, "No Ma'am. I thank you for your time. I know you have a lot on your schedule Lady Elizabeth but please do take care of yourself.......and you to Mr. Sung." Lily stood up, made a curtsy and made her way to the door.
