Making Sense?
JP with Omni and Lorem
Voah saw the glistening from his eyes but instead of stars she only saw the reflection of firelight; just a byproduct of the location.
“Nnn… I mean… acknowledging how you are feeling is important…Resisting it… denying it… won’t help to face the reality of it… and control it… nnn? This is something I struggle with… But I’m learning to be honest with myself… even if it hurts.”
As an example she quoted Vastad’s words to her in the desert.
“You cannot conquer fear by running from it…“
She was learning to understand that all too well.
“I hope that makes sense.”
Gonyaul wished he could be sitting upright for this conversation. Being face to face would have been ideal. Instead he had to be content with laying uncomfortably on his hurt backside so that he didn’t irritate the stitches closing the laceration across his front.
He absorbed what Voah was sharing with him as would a very eager pupil. His eyes doing their best to stay open, but in occasion he had to close them when dizziness began dance with his headache. He was glad he inquired further, because he had originally misunderstood her comment. He could have spiraled off into an unproductive direction without this clarification.
He nodded gently. “Yes much sense.” He then took a pregnant pause. It was clear he was internalizing Voah’s words. His sniffles from crying earlier had almost entirely stopped and he seemed to be thinking more clearly.
“ … nnn …. need think … nnn” he was finding concentrating harder thanks to the combination of fatigue, pain, concussion and fever. “May please be alone to think on this?” He proceeded cautiously and politely, as he could feel the different emotions bubbling up to the surface like a hot mud flat; however, he didn’t want to hurt her with careless sharing.
