White Eyes

The moment Tarmen confirmed he had a hold on the captive, Alexis got her sword at the ready again and threw herself around.
She ducked low and ran towards the woods, dodging, weaving and parrying on her way out. In the corner of her eye she could see others of the Craven Pack following Tarmen’s whistled command. How many of them made it she could not tell. Alcuin she could not catch sight of, but a bastard like that for sure wasn’t going down that easy.
She darted between the towering trees, using them to break any potential pursuers’ line of sight on her, until she found a place to lay low so she could catch her breath and get her bearings.
The Garrahn took a moment to just sit tight and orient herself, and make a decision where to move.
Where would the scattered remains of her group and Tarmen in particular most likely go, so that they could regroup?
Picking her route she rose to get moving.
Before she could even take a step, she froze again, tied to the spot by a powerful sensation.
One she had felt before. Weeks ago, between the burning warehouses of Gra‘Akast.
[i]He is here.[\i]
Back at the recently ambushed camp, having just arrived with reinforcements, the tall bearded man slowed his steps.
Milky white eyes seemed to scan the shadowy trees despite their obvious blindness.
[i]She is here.[\i]
Alexis silently sneaked back to where she could see the camp again.
As if it were pulled her gaze locked on the familiar figure with the whitened eyes who seemed to look back at her in turn.
Only a slight shifting of his head from side to side betrayed he hadn’t fully located her, just her general direction. Or the direction of the hammer head for that matter.
He wasn’t alone, of course. Several Brotherhood members stood by him clearly awaiting orders, as did a few Odonine if decidedly less devotedly.
Maybe not a full merge of groups there, after all.
Her ‘counterpart’ took his time, never turning his head far from where she had secreted herself away.
Finally he turned to the man who had stood patiently and diligently by his side and spoke a few words. His adjutant(?) nodded sharply and bellowed a few commands to the others, having them swarm out.
The Hound was still staring her way. Just slightly, he inclined his head. Then, he moved out as well, fully on his own.
The message could not have been clearer if spoken loud.
[i]Come.[\i]
