Hiding

Alexis looked around the mostly empty warehouse looking for cover. Here at least they could force their pursuers to come at them from one direction and take the initiative out of the bowmen's hands. Plus they could see how many they were facing.

The man she had saved moved away from her, standing behind a large thick wooden beam. He too looked around the warehouse looking at their surroundings. She saw him waving at her in the darkness and pointing to the far end left of the building.

Her eyes followed. Some sort of hatch. One designed to deliver goods into the storage area. Alexis realised them man was pointing at a potential exit or another entry into the building.

A few arrows flew in through the door, aimed blindly but forcing both to take cover, thudding against rotten crates and stacked sacks. A few moments later four dark robes stormed the building through the front door, swords raised.
