To Many Choices

"I am not sure how comfortable I would be discussing things in front of him of a personal nature. I have no clue what Orime plans she has for this dinner. Could be she just wants to get to know Bruce from those who knew him and get to know us. Could be a host of other things." Kate thought for a moment. "How often do you need him to leech the toxins? Could he leech them before the dinner? I doubt dinner will be more than a few two to three hours. Maybe not even that long. If he needs to be there maybe he can pose as a waiter, host, or something. We wouldn't be talking in front of the waiters anyway and I would insist on a table far away from the kitchen so we would have plenty of notice of a waiter coming."

Carrie sighed as her situation getting complicated. She then said, “Is all that really necessary? Can’t he and Abby sit at a distant table with anyone else not invited? If we can’t do that he can be a bodyguard and wait at the bar. I get you all have trust issues with him since he is a stranger, but he went through a lot to keep me safe for five years in a jungle.” Carrie was stressed out from all the hard choices and said, “ I need to give my blood to Barbra now.”

Barbara took the Memory Stick as well as the sample Dick provided. She labeled it, Tears, Carrie. "We can certainly look into building a power dampener and controller. We already have power-dampening technology created by the Star Labs facility in Central City. We have some here. They are designed for arresting powered criminals. If they work I could probably modify one to something less conspicuous and more fashion-friendly. I'll have the computer analyze the plans in comparison to the current technology we have."

Abigale was relieved to hear that information. She felt very awkward having to vomit her polka dots in the jungle when she got backed up. Abigale replied, “It would be so nice not to have to purge my polka dots.”

Only thing left for Barbara to do at the moment is to draw Carrie's blood.

Carrie then sat in the chair as she said, “Let’s get this done before I realize how scared I am.” She put her arm out and looked up keep herself from looking at the needle.
