Tattoo Days (Pt 3)
Seele locked up the building after stepping out with Lyle. “You sure? You don’t gotta be part of this if you don’t want to.”
“I'm a soldier. I once took an oath to fight all threats, both foreign and domestic and MegaCorp is a threat” he replied.
“A huge threat to society,” Seele said as she went to the bike with Lyle. “Thrane probably plans to destroy the world…”
“a world i like living on that hair cute tattoo artists” he replied with a wink “so saddle me up.”
Seele rolled her eyes and smiled. “Lets just get going, big guy.” She told him and got on his motorcycle.
Lyle smiled before starting it up and driving “What are you in the mood for?”
Seele thought as she hugged Lyle from behind. “Hmmm…Chinese?”
“Sounds good to me and don't be afraid to hug me tightly” He chuckled.
“Oh, I can hug tighter, bud.” Seele said with a smirk.
“Please do then” he chuckled while speeding up.
Seele clung to him, smiling as she pressed her face into his back.
Smiling Lyle drove them to a chinese restaurant before parking.
Seele hopped off and went to the door, pulling Lyle along by his hand.
Lyle happily followed her. Entering the place they were soon given a table to sit at.
A waitress would soon walk up and smile at them. “What can I get ya?” She asked, her full focus on Lyle.
Seele was silent, annoyed that this woman was obviously ignoring her.
“Why don’t you ask my girlfriend what she would like to eat first it is our anniversary” he replied giving Seele a wink.
“Anniversary?” The woman asked, looking at Seele.
The wig wearing woman smiled sheepishly and shrugged. “I’ll have a glass of water, please.” She said.
Once she took their order and left Lyle looked over to her “sorry for putting you on the spot but I hate women that ignore the fact I’m on a date with someone.”
“I’m used to women doing that to me, honestly.” Seele explained with a shrug.
“Well I won’t put up with it” He replied “You’re my sole focus for the evening.”
Seele felt her cheeks flush. “Thanks,” She said. No one had given her their undivided attention before, unless it was for their tattoos.
Lyle smiled “tell me about yourself.”
“Not much to tell. I’m a tattoo artist with a foul mouth, a pet monster, and I shoot megacorp scum to death.” Seele explained as she sipped her water.
“Did you always want to be a tattoo artist?” he asked.
“Yeah, ever since I was little.” Seele smiled. “My dad had all these cool tattoos and I always asked him the stories behind them. That was before he died in an accident. He was a truck driver and his engine blew when he crashed during a nasty storm one night.” She shrugged. “Never knew mom, so I was in an orphanage for a while.”
“I'm sorry about that” he replied taking her hand “my dad was a piece of shit. Mom couldn't take it anymore and left one day. Joined the army as soon as I turned 18 and never looked back.”
“Why do parents suck at times?” Seele asked as she pulled her hand away, not comfortable being touched like that yet.
