Cute Chaos (Pt 3)
“But she’s too perfect.” Sorley blurted, and grew more red.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake…” Kiana muttered.
“What?” Gelf looked confused as Skorn gently nudged her out the door.
“Come on, time to head home.” He told her.
“Wait, my clothes!” She teleported into Kiana’s room and grabbed up her clothes. Teleporting again, she appeared next to Sorley and kissed his cheek before teleporting back outside. “There? Happy?”
All Skorn did was chuckle.
Sorley stood very still. And slowly touched his cheek where Gelf had kissed him. He had a hard time believing that had really just happened.
Kiana rolled her eyes and went to grab a book in her room.
Skorn waved at Kiana as he closed the door and left with Gelf. He had places to be - well, one place. Hopefully, his date would show up. If not, he’d just head back to the Underground and rest.
Sorley continued to stand where Gelf kissed him.
Kiana read a little of her book before picking up her phone. Maybe that cute guy from before was still interested.
That guy was most likely still interested.
Kiana quickly got dressed and headed out, leaving Sorley still standing in shock.
A bird would swoop in and sit upon Sorley’s head while Kiana left.
Skorn would be that guy waiting for Kiana.
The bird could make a nest in Sorley’s hair, he was not going anywhere anytime soon. He was savoring the feeling that was still faint on his cheek.
The bird would and there would be eggs there by the time he noticed.
A plucked hair made Sorley flinch and look up. “Uh…”
The bird gazed down at Sorley and chirped.
“Uh, hi…” Sorley said.
The bird chirped again and flapped her wings gently, happily.
Sorley took a picture of the bird. He did not know who to send it to.
The bird poked the camera lens and made a cute melody, adjusting her butt on her eggs in Sorley’s hair.
Sorley thought for a long time before texting the photo to Gelf.
It would be only a minute later that Gelf would reply: “OMG, so cute! How did you end up with a bird on your head, though?”
“I don’t know.” Sorley texted back, sorry that he had bothered her.
Gelf: “Well, it’s still cute! How are you?”
Sorley did not know how he was. He had met the most perfect woman, she had kissed him on the cheek, gave him her number, was texting him… but he was sure he had ruined it all by hitting her with that water and after she saw all of those scars… He never had a chance. He stared at his phone.
Gelf wouldn’t be able to wait and called Sorley.
Sorley dropped his phone in surprise. When he picked it up his finger touched the answer button. “Uh, hello?”
“Hi! I figured talking would be easier. Is that okay?” Gelf asked. “If I’m bugging you, I can leave you alone, but I just…I wanted to hear your voice again.”
“It’s okay.” Sorley blushed. He liked her voice. “I’m sorry for attacking you.”
“It was just a splash of water. My clothes will dry.” Gelf said, obviously shrugging it off. “Are you okay, though? You fell pretty hard.”
“Yeah…” Sorley was more bothered about Gelf seeing him naked than the fall. The scars…
“You sure? I was worried you hit your head or something, but if you’re sure…” Gelf sighed softly. “You know, if those scars of yours ever ache, I can make you a tea that helps relax you so the muscles won’t ache under the skin so much. I have some scars of my own that I have to do that for. Hot showers help too.”
“My scars don’t…” Sorley trailed off. Gelf had scars? Who would dare hurt her? He suddenly felt angry. He would kill anyone who hurt her.
“They don’t what?” Gelf sounded concerned. “I’m sorry if that’s a bad topic. Uh…anything you like to do?”
“Kill anyone who hurts you.” Sorley said without thinking. Then forgot how to breathe when he realized what he had said.
“Say what?” Gelf asked. “Well, I mean, I already killed them when I escaped MegaCorp, but maybe we can kick more asses together?”
Sorley dropped to his knees and took a deep whooshing breath as his brain remembered to breathe. “Y-yeah.”
