View character profile for: Lyle
Amihan Prison
Lyles's eyes open as he took in his surroundings, his training taking over.
Lyle would find himself chained to the wall, his own clothes and possessions gone but dressed in thin gray clothing. The room was dark but he could make out other baseline men coming to, also dressed in gray and chained to the walls.
Lyle shook his head as he tested the chains around his wrist “amateurs” he whispered before taking a deep breath before dislocating his thumbs and slipping out of his chains.
“Hey-” one of the men who was more conscious than the others hissed to Lyle. “What are you doing?”
“About to choke someone out if you don't shut up” he hissed, snapping his thumbs back in place.
“Are you escaping? Free me too!” The man whispered.
Lyle moved closer and knocked the man out. He wanted to save everyone but knew now wasn't the time “focus and get to Seele and escape then get to the underground and get help” he thought to himself as he snuck towards the door.
The door was reinforced steel. A TV screen flicked on.
Lyle studied the lock before looking at the TV.
The screen showed footage of atrocities committed against metas, mostly by MegaCorp but there were other groups involved. Experiments, torture, murder, mass graves of metas. There was a voiceover. “NO MORE NO MORE NO MORE!”
Lyle walked over to the TV and smashed it open before salvaging components to make a lock pick. Grabbing the cord he tore it off to use as a makeshift weapon.
“Hey, I was watching that!” A man complained.
Lyle ignore him and got to work picking the door.
The door was suddenly electrified.
“Fuck” he whispered before looking around for a vent to climb into.
There were no vents large enough for anything bigger than a hamster to climb into. A loudspeaker crackled.
“Damn it “ Lyle sighed looking for a way out.
“You don’t want to be on the wrong side of history.” A voice said through the loudspeaker.
Lyle ignored it as he kept searching around the room.
“If you’re not with us you’re against us.”
Lyle growled and grabbed the speaker to destroy it.
There were at least a dozen speakers set in the walls and ceiling. It spoke Amihan propaganda.
Lyle sighed and got back to work on finding a way out of the room.
