BGG - Can't Stand The Heat
The jet touched down in Arkangel, just outside of the city, and after piling into an SUV, the boys and Kimura got the first glance of their new home.
The Candle Factory was exactly that, an old candle factory converted into apartments that sat just outside the city. Katsu had purchased the building at Kimura’s request. The main floor was mostly open warehouse space with a large gym and training center that made the boys feel right at home. There were places for sparing, an indoor track, and nearly every piece of equipment you could think of - their own private gym. Mal hesitated to think it, but it even put their facility in Japan to shame. Most of the apartments were two or three bedrooms, except for the penthouse which was the entire top floor. That was reserved for Katsu, if and when he visited.
"Oooh spacious." Cain complemented with a whistle.
"Not bad, plenty of room to build out." Dog said, helping to bring the luggage in.
Mal instinctively whistled back to Cain. “Home sweet home,” he said. “Check out that kitchen, that’s where you want to learn to cook,” Mal told Dogo. Even though each apartment had its own kitchen area, the factory had at one point in its life been a restaurant- the industrial kitchen was still in working order, as well as a communal dining area.
"Is that so you can keep an eye on me or have space to run away?" Dogo smirked with a chuckle.
"Both." Cain said with a straight face.
“Do we have room assignments, Team Lead, or do we fight it out? I say we fight for it,” Mal chuckled, tapping Dogo on the shoulder with his fist. “Been a while.”
"I will devastate you." Dogo smirked.
"And I will pick off the winner. Fight smarter not harder." Cain grinned.
"No fighting! I will not have you guys breaking the place when we just got here." Kimura said hands on hips.
Mal was already shadow boxing his brothers, holding up his hands in surrender when Kimura’s look turned stern. He had nothing but respect for the team leader, and - if he was being honest - she could easily kick any one of their asses herself.
“You three are in the apartment on the second floor, three bedrooms,” Kimura let them know. “Better to contain the three of you to one area.”
“She’s not wrong,” Mal chuckled.
"See? Smart leader and clever healer." Kimura compliment and she walked past them with her luggage to set up her room.
"Wait, what does that make me?" Dogo asked as the Team Lead walked by.
"The one who better stay out of the goddamn kitchen." Kimura said pointedly.
