JP - Cody is an Adult now

Pulling up to the cabin Riley hopped out and used speed to patrol the entire area making sure no one was waiting for them. Waving to the others that it was clear He moved back to the van to help River with Loreen. "Here let's get you inside where it's more comfortable."

Tzeitel pulled up to the cabin. She still could not believe Riley had not shot Loreen on sight.

River let Riley take Loreen and got Amber to come out with her, heading to the cabin.

Loreen was still a bit dizzy and had to lean on Riley. “Where are we?” She asked as Colt and James pulled their cars up to the cabin.

"Someplace safe we're going to get you into some clean clothes after you shower" Riley explained as he helped her into one of the bedrooms. "Just lie down for now."

Loreen layed down on her good side. River had gotten her stitched up, gave her a salve for the incision, and bandages, but the once-upon-a-time butcher still felt hazy and lost. She couldn’t even remember how she’d gotten on that highway.

As for the others, James helped Klaire and the twins inside while Megan and Annie gladly got out of the mustang. They were tired of smelling Colt’s unwanted arousal thanks to Piritta’s shirtlessness.

Colt chose to stay in his care for a bit.

Piritta left her shirt in Colt’s car as she bounded into the cabin.

Tzeitel got out of her car and walked over to the Mustang. She was worried about him after learning about Bao. She tapped on his window.

Ami got out of the car and stretched. She looked at the cabin. “It looks nice.” She told Cody.

Riley approach Cody and whispered into his ear "I need you to watch the kids while I talk to the others I'll fill you in afterwards."

Cody nodded and smiled at Ami. “Come on, lets see how it is inside the cabin.” He headed that way, picking up Amber before she could escape and cause trouble. “No you don’t.” He laughed.

Ami went into the cabin with Cody. It looked great after staying in cheap hotels, but she was worried by how the adults- especially Tzeitel- were staying outside. She stopped at a window to watch. “Tzeitel is upset…” She told Cody.

"They must be talking about something she doesn't like." Cody mused with a frown. Leon and Lotus went to the window, watching with Ami.

"They're talking about the lady they brought in," Lotus began.

"And some man with a cane and a stone, I think." Leon finished.

"No, it's a name. Canestone." Lotus argued.

Leon shook his head. "Nuh uh! Cane of stone!"

"Stop fighting," Cody said in an authoritative tone and the twins instantly hushed.

Ami looked at Cody worriedly, last night's conversation still fresh in her mind. “Should we be out there?” Ami asked when she saw her sister sit on the ground.

“They don’t want us out there,” Cody sighed heavily. “It’s adult talk.” He found it annoying that he was not included as an adult with everyone. He was twenty-one years old, damn it!

“But you are an adult now.” Ami said, watching her sister with a great deal of worry. She wanted to go out there and hug her.

“To them, though, I’m still a little kid in their eyes.” Cody replied with a snort and kept watching. Frowning, he pulled Ami into a hug. “But who says we have to listen to everything they tell us, right?”

Holding her hand like a good brother, Cody led Ami outside to the others while the twins and Amber played around in the cabin.

Piritta told the twins and Amber they could jump on the couch until a responsible adult came inside.
