“Yeah… Kiana should have been here for this.” Sorley said worriedly.
Gelf pulled out her phone and sent Kiana a quick text, hoping she would get it.
From Gelf: Kiana, you okay? It's been hours! We’re worried!
Sorley checked his own phone to see if Kiana ever tried to reach him. She had not.
Kiana did not text Gelf back right away because she was too busy running.
"I hope she's okay…" Gelf said and looked around for any clues to where Kiana was taking Herbert that day.
“She was taking Herbert to the vet but she should have been back by now, even if the vet had bad news she would have called us or something. Er…” Sorley blushed. “My room is soundproof, right?” Maybe Kiana was annoyed and had taken off.
Gelf blinked and looked at her phone. "Uhhh…" She showed the text to Sorley.
Sorley stared at the phone for a moment. “Uh… we better get over there I guess.”
Gelf nodded and glanced at the picture before grabbing Sorley's hand and teleporting multiple times to reach the address. By the time they arrived she was sweating and breathing heavily.
Sorley wrapped an arm around Gelf to support her. “I think you overdid it.” He fretted, gently wiping sweat from her brow with his sleeve. He felt Gelf’s phone vibrate with incoming texts.
“I’ll be fine…” Gelf said, catching her breath and checking her phone as they went to the door, noticing how desolate the place looked. Windows were broken, walls were rotting, and there was an odd substance along parts of the floor. “What the hell?”
“Are you sure?” Sorley asked worriedly. Gelf had said he had worn her out last night and now he felt guilty about it. He stared into the building. “Kiana went in here on purpose?”
“I merely drain my power a bit. I’ll be fine.” Gelf said as she pulled out a protein bar from her jacket pocket and ate it. “I honestly don’t know, but this is the address she gave us…”
Sorley looked at Gelf, worried that she would not be able to use her power to escape if she needed it. “She took the car, right? Maybe we should find the car first.”
Gelf nodded and began walking around the building until they reached the backyard where the car was waiting. It looked fine, aside from being parked in mud.
“So she did get here.” Sorley said. He was relieved that Gelf would not have to teleport any further than the car. He turned back to the building.
“I don’t like this…” Gelf said, looking at the building with worry. “We need to find them. What if they’re…what if that monster thing she sent pictures of is…” She hated the idea of Kiana and/or Herbert getting hurt.
“Has she sent any other texts?” Sorley asked, walking towards the building as he opened the bottle of water he always carried.
“Not since her last picture,” Gelf said, looking at the phone. “Think I should text her back?”
“I don’t kn-” Sorley was cut off by Gelf’s phone getting an incoming call. It was from Kiana.
Gelf instantly answered. “Kiana, where are you?! Are you okay?! We got to the place, but it’s…in ruins!”
“Oh thank fuck!” Kiana's voice shouted tinnily on Gelf’s phone speaker. “I’m at that address I gave you- but it looks different from when we went in. It’s changed… and Canestone is here! Am I in Hell? Oh fuck, did that send me to Hell? It’s too fucking easy to get in Hell! Gelf, get us out of here!”
Sorley picked up his pace into the building upon hearing Kiana.
Gelf looked around at the odd substance on the floor and stayed close to Sorley, only stopping when they reached the end of a hallway. On the wall was what looked to be a large crack in the shape of a lightning bolt, only there was an odd aura to it. It was glowing an odd greenish-blue and that stuff on the floor was oozing out at bottom.
"This just gets weirder and weirder…" Gelf muttered, going toward the crack in the wall.
Sorley did not like any of this, at all. He tensed when he heard his sister scream. The water flew out of his bottle and whizzed around him in the air.
“We’re coming to find you, Kiana! Just stay away from him as long as you can!” Gelf shouted, grabbed Sorley’s hand, and went right into the demonic looking crack in the wall. The moment hit it they suddenly stepped into the exact same building Kiana and Herbert were in. Sadly, they were on the other side of the place…
Sorley squeezed Gelf’s hand before reluctantly releasing it because as nice as it is to hold Gelf’s hand he knew they would probably need to have both hands free. He could hear Kiana shouting, not from Gelf’s phone, but here. Sadly her voice sounded very far away.
“KIANA!” Gelf yelled after hanging up the phone, hoping her friend would hear. She started running toward the shouting.
Sorley ran with Gelf, he heard Kiana scream Gelf’s name and started to run ahead. He hated to think about what Canestone would do to her, he had read that monster’s file. Five years later he still dyed his hair red to look less like him.
The moment Gelf caught sight of Kiana’s familiar red hair and the odd man holding her, she teleported to them, standing between them and Caneclone. “Step any closer and I’ll rip your fucking dick off and feed it to you, bitch!”
“I always forget how scary Gelf can be when pissed off…” Herbert grumbled.
“I’m glad she’s always on our side.” Kiana said.
Caneclone stared at Gelf in confusion. “I think you have me mistaken for someone else.”
Sorley divided the water from his bottle in two fist sized balls. He was ready to pummel the man who looked like his father with it.
“Don’t play coy!” Gelf snapped and grabbed onto Herbert’s arm. So long as he kept his hold on Kiana, she’d be able to get them out of there. “Sorley, grab onto one of us…”
“Please wait- I have questions!” Caneclone reached for Gelf’s arm.
Sorley threw his arms around Gelf.
Gelf tried to pull away, but the moment she teleported them all outside, Caneclone had been able to follow all because a single finger touched her arm. The moment she realized this, though, she kicked him in the dick with one of her steel toe boots. “Fuck off!” She screamed.
Sorley was furious that he had touched Gelf, even just a single finger on her arm. He pummeled the bastard with the balls of water.
Caneclone rolled on the ground, holding himself. “Why do people hate me?”
Kiana squirmed out of Herbert’s arms and kicked Caneclone in the kidneys. “You’re a fucking rapist!”
“I never touched anyone!” Caneclone gasped.
