5’10”, 200 pounds
Black hair, blue eyes. His skin is usually white/Caucasian but can change.
Wears a lot of T-shirts with dogs and cute puppies on them.

His MegaCorp collar has the numbers 001 clearly stamped on it.

Personality and interests

Usually comes across as disarming, friendly, intelligent. When he gets a victim alone he drops his facade. He is cruel and sadistic. Caneclone completely lacks empathy or conscience. There is nothing he enjoys more than slowly torturing someone to death.
Very paranoid, thinks that everyone is secretly like him and wants to hurt and kill him.

As a clone of Canestone he is almost completely the same as him in personality, only less impulsive.

History

Before his death, Gary Canestone left a lot of samples of his DNA. A lot of samples. So many samples. It's disgusting how much of his DNA he left behind. Dear god, it was everywhere.

There has been debate over whether nature or nurture makes people the way they are, and as a sadistic serial killer the a MegaCorp cloning program thought Canestone would be the perfect subject to clone to answer the question.

Three years ago, two years after his death two fully grown Canestone clones came out of the cloning vats for the Nature vs Nurture experiment.

Caneclone has the same DNA as Canestone, looks exactly like him, but none of his memories.

Was accidentally freed from MegaCorp by Gelf. Caneclone blended in with the homeless community. He did manage to buy meta suppressing powers and stunners on the black market and stash them in the forest.

Caneclone happened to come across Joel in Riley's crashed van. Caneclone could tell that Joel was a meta, so he called the Meta Underground for help. Caneclone had never hurt anyone, but because he was a Canestone clone he was put in a safe house with Fang and Lola. Caneclone wanted to become part of the Meta Underground and befriended Fang and Lola. When Jaxon attacked and burned down the safe house Caneclone helped get Fang's body out. Lola trusts him.

Caneclone was brought to the Meta Underground, but because of who he is a clone of he was locked up. He was shown the Ming Chang video to explain why no one trusted him. Caneclone was visibly upset. Riley did not think he was evil and set him free.

Tzeitel tried to kill him, but between Riley and Lola interfering Caneclone escaped her through an air vent. He fell out of the vent in Sorley and Gelf's room. They chased him out of their room. Caneclone ran into Seele who helped him avoid detection and back with Lola. Caneclone has been... obsessed... with Gelf ever since she teleported him out of the MegaCorp facility and wanted to thank her, so he met Gelf and Sorley again in the parking garage to thank her, apologize, and congratulate her and 'his son'.

Mark has offered him a job making dead drops for the Underground. Caneclone hopes the job will help him fit in with the Meta Underground and stop being judged for who he was cloned from.

Riley put him in a room with Lola where he can be safer.

Caneclone was excited to have a job for the Underground and had hoped to become part of the community, but was frustrated with a job that still kept him separated and began learning about the more violent meta gang- Amihan. He was impressed by what they were doing and wanted to be a part of them.
While dropping off a package for the Underground he found the site to be under attack by Thrane and witnessed James Brown being taken. He and Lola escaped to a safe house but he was freaked out by what he had seen and called Seele. Seele came over to make sure he felt safe.
Later that night Lola was abducted by Unknown, but Caneclone did not notice because he was busy betraying, overpowering and raping Seele so they both could know what it was like. Afterwards Caneclone acted like what he did was consensual, that Seele could still be the "lesbian tattooist" in the Underground, that no one needed to know about their change in relationship. Seele was too afraid to say or do anything and fell asleep from sheer exhaustion. The next morning Caneclone wanted to do it again, Seele managed to convince him that she just needed fresh air- and escaped. Caneclone was dense enough to believe Seele had just gone to the pharmacy. He went to talk to Lola and was alarmed to see that she was gone. He tried calling contacts in the Underground but got no answers.
Then he got recruited into Amihan. Caneclone was given Duuk's manifesto and agreed with every word. Amihan caught Seele and brought her to him in his room to be his mate. Caneclone was excited to have her with him, was glad that Seele had not reached the pharmacy because after reading Duuk's manifesto he believed that he should father as many meta children as possible. Duuk came in and told Caneclone to hold Seele down on the bed, Seele told Caneclone that she was scared, but Caneclone held Seele down while Duuk raped her to prove his loyalty to Duuk, and completed his initiation into Amihan by raping Seele while Duuk held her down.
Afterwards, while Caneclone was at dinner, Unknown came to the Amihan compound and rescued Seele. Caneclone still does not see what he or Duuk did to her as rape and believes that Seele was kidnapped. To make sure that Caneclone would not betray him Duuk pointed out how their assault on Seele was caught on camera- Caneclone was too dense to realize that was blackmail and is completely loyal to Duuk and Amihan.
Gelf and Sorley were captured by Amihan. Duuk allowed Caneclone to have five minutes with Gelf- but he did not last that long before Gelf broke his arm.
