The Formidable Hunter

The remaining three with spears hurled at the fleeing Hunter as he cut left again to dodge them. Then he heard their war cry as they pulled out bone clubs while chasing him. As Hunter was running in a large circle like motion he found himself heading for the first spear thrown at him by the ruffian. It was a good thing he was in top shape and trained everyday to be able to keep up this pace as he grabbed the spear and kept running.

Hunter would find them gaining on him. While he was dodging and running in a circular motion, they were running in a straight line towards him.

The moment he grabbed the spear from the ground, the closest man was upon him and was swinging at a downward angle with the intention of striking Hunter where the neck and the shoulders meet.

Hunter then spun around and used the spear to parry the bone club as he pulled his sword out with a quick slash across the ruffian’s throat. Then he kicked his victim into the other ruffians.

The spear was parried to the side, the man was made vulnerable. There was nothing he could do to recover in time to prevent the sword from exposing his vocal cords to the open air. Blood showered Hunter.

The kick would have been effective if not for the man’s dying frame spinning off to the side of the kicking foot and the preexisting forward momentum sent it falling to the ground off to the side.

One of the men had to pause his advance to avoid the falling body. The other swung his club intentionally at the sword of hunter to hit it outside his approach angle. Then he went and tackled into Hunter, driving both to the ground.
