A Step Into Antiquity

Every step felt like a leap back in time, the very essence of this place felt like antiquity itself. Well worn roads, outposts that once offered needs to individuals long since forgotten, and shrines almost as buried as those that used them. Delabated walls and towers, combined to make what was once a large fort.

Islana had to stop a moment to take in this site, having never seen anything like it in her life. In her travels, the young huntress had rarely come across bits and pieces of what might have old forgotten walls or structures but it had been impossible, with her non-existent knowledge on the subject, to tell what those were. Nothing that even scratched the surface of what she was gazing upon, at this moment. A civilization lost to time.

It wasn't difficult to find a place to camp, as Islana went a little forward. Once she could, the huntress went not far and managed to hunt the meat for dinner with no issues. Butchering, then cooking and sharing a meal over the fire. This part of her life had become fairly routine; the trip to Aquilo had added new elements to it, this expedition even more.

This trip has also given the young woman a chance perhaps to get a little out of her own mind and focus on something other than the questions and things that seemed to, lately, run in her mind on a circular track.
