Celebrations Part 10

Tarmen had left the clansmen after a few more had been knocked out, leaving two of them drunkenly slapping each other. All in all a good fight.

He made his way back to the music, limping a bit more and with a bit of blood in his teeth, but smiling all the same. Plus with another beer he almost looked decent.
Seeing the others still together, he found his way near Alexis and swayed merrily.

The mercenary welcomed the Kru‘ll man with a smirk and some mock exasperation.

“Not a party without some hearty brawl, ay?”

Islana thanked Boyce but felt like hiding somewhere. She gave a nod of thanks to those that applauded, it was a party so of course not everyone was paying attention.

Hearing though the Arbitar's request for more, it was hard to deny the birthday girl. Islana sang one more this one more upbeat.

The song after that though the young woman excused herself and left Boyce to his music. She needed a break.

Boyce began a slow meditative tune. Soon the drums came in slow and heavy and a clansmen piped in with a bone flute. Voah made short work of her meal and bowed away from Alexis and Tarmen. She headed back to the area where the dancing had been and started a slow interpretive dance. Hoi’s Ward.

With a wincing laugh, Tarmen looked to Alexis. He was growing rather fond of her and was honestly glad she was out here.
He couldn’t even consider it romantic, it felt closer to his crew back home and that feeling warmed him. Despite her foolish morals she kept coming back and he liked that resilience.

He gave his most charming smile.
“Someone has to do it, might as well be by a professional.”

Alexis snorted, and toasted to her companion.

“Lucky we got the best of the best for the job.“

Islana found a spot a little off to the side, where she could watch the party. Just a break really.

Gonyaul was cleaning up the place at a pace faster than they were messing it up now. He believed he had tipped the scales on the major work and could stop.

He noticed Islana resting and in passing complimented her, “now I know where all song birds learned sing.”

He smiled, gave her a victorious signing and continued moving about.

He kept his tone light as he nudged Alexis, “Greyriver, you believe any of the curses? That we have been meddlin’ with too much?”
