Word on the streets

Timestamp: Lowood afternoon

The vagrant looks at you with an confused but grateful expression on his face.
He tells you he lost his job as a fisherman a few weeks ago because of his drinking. The city os not kind on those that are not useful somehow, nor does it tolerate vagrancy for too long. He tells you he will likely join one of the ships leaving for Helias in the next few days if he cannot find work.

He tries and answer your questions as best as he can.
The Friar is one of the most influential people in the city outside of the Lord Commander. Although the military and guard control almost everything that happens in the city some dock workers and fishermen have some contraband and smuggling operations going. It is rumoured they trade with some natives.

A group of lumberjacks led by tattoo face guy, that you find is named Sorrus, control most of the petty crime that goes on in Lowood. They either pay the guard to look the other way or are actually working for someone high up. Maybe a Knight.

Lowood and the Docks are the most dangerous places in the city however crime is pretty low due to the high presence of guards and army. Plus there isn't enough around yet for people to turn to serious crime. Citizens are more concerned in surviving the seasons and put food on the table.

He scratches his head when you ask him about strange activity.
"Well, they do say the natives can summon magik..." He whispered looking around to see if anyone heard him.
