Amalu looked on as his brothers and sisters moved around in the shadow of the burning building closing the net in on their prey.

Shalia had stalked into the building with another from the Brotherhood and if the sounds of battle were anything to go by he had been correct in his assumption that this had been the hideout of the Inquisition.

The Brotherhood kept communicating over loud sharp shouts and ondulating messages in their tongue, telling each other what was happening and what progress was being made. Some of his archers had taken to the roof top while another two were chasing another man in same building Shalia had entered.

He saw a burst of flame go up inside the far right of the building as they continued hounding the other man. He would be joining the fight soon if this didn't come to an end quickly.

Nearby and not too far away other groups were converging on this location, giving him even more reasons to believe all some of these foreigners were connected in some way.

Suddenly he felt something he had not felt in a very long time. Not since he had been in Fang. He turned looking at the roof of a nearby warehouse. A place his men were also surrounding. His hand went to his chest and the item he carried against his flesh under his robes tied to a leather strap...

Alexis looked at the flames as if a moth attracted to light. Her head came up sharply and she looked past the wall of flames and the men in front of her. She was vaguely aware that the man she saved was pulling her back, trying to escape.

She suddenly clutched the hammer's head in surprise. Somewhere out there in the night was the haft for the Ichor of Solitude.
