Shadowed Alleys

Tarmen wasn’t surprised at the turn of events and had actually been surprised to see Silina in the streets. His previous plans of drinking had been slightly delayed by her friendly response to him, until she ordered him to run.
Once again back into the fire. As he dashed through the alleys, he realized something he had written off in the town square. Dark shadows, robes that he had seen as nothing more than his tired eyes playing with him. They could have killed him so easily.
Dodging into an alley behind the girl, he had to figure out where they could go. A look at Silina told him she was thinking the same thing and he thought through their options.
Face them and die.

Run towards the conflicts already happening, where they didn’t know who was friend or foe but might have a better time against the robes.

Stay here and die.

Try stealth and be killed in the robes' own hunting ground.

None of them looked good, but they had survived before by being in the open. He didn’t even bother looking at his still bleeding wounds, shaking some numbness from his hand and looking back at Silina.
“We move towards the fight. More bodies for them to target and possible allies to help us.”

Then he moved, focusing on getting them to their destination instead of what new issues it could bring.
