Voah nearly lost her footing when she backed into the witch's censers that still sat in the center of the circle. Voah smiled as a clever thought came to mind. Switching the bastard sword to her left hand, Voah dipped backward and took a knee, grabbing up the chain of one of the censers.

Now as she defended with her left, she began swinging the chain with her right. One of the dark robes halted her advance as the other took the bait and Voah swung the censer in the way of his blade, batting it hard in his grip and nearly loosing it. As he recovered from that, she spun and swung it around laterally to bash him in the side of the head, knocking him off of his feet for the moment.

The woman Voah was facing wasn't so lucky as sword met chain, it became tangled and Voah yanked the sword free from the dark robed woman's grasp. Keeping the momentum up, Voah turned and loosed the chain in the direction of the man she had clobbered already, then she swapped her sword to the right hand and descended quickly onto the disarmed woman who was retreating to pick up another weapon. Voah grabbed her by the hood and ran her through the back, sending her sprawling face first into the ground.

Meanwhile Alcuin still faced two men and it seemed as though he might be losing ground as he took a long, thin slash to his cheek. But the sudden sting and feeling of his own blood sent the man into a violent frenzy. He batted the dark robe's sword away, with a forceful parry and gave him a hard uppercut under the jaw. The other dark robe got a slice into Alcuin's arm. He gave a pained groan, but he veered backward and hacked the man in the shoulder, causing enough damage for him to drop his sword arm and give Alcuin the opening for a kill, which he didn't waste. He slit the man's throat, sending him to his knees and down into the sand. Then Alcuin re-oriented himself so that he could grab up the scimitar of the fallen woman. He was now guarding with one sword and fighting with the other.

Ba'hela's magik needed time to work in order to revive the dying woman, but while she waited for the dark robe to rise again, she went after Voah while her back was turned, bringing a long curved dagger down onto the interloper.
