Timestamp: Ostiarium Docks - Aboard 'The Hogue'
Till walked the main deck of the schooner trying to familiarise himself with the vessel. A few days ago Seros Thert himself had come to see him by the main warehouses behind the docks trying to recruit him for 'The Hogue', the larger transport and fishing vessel in the city. Actually the only one. A two mast fore-and-aft rig, that the city used for deeper sea fishing while the smaller boats trawler the coasts of the Bay of Pearls.
She looked like a solid ship, sleek and with a fast hull, he could see her being very handy in the hands of some privateers or blockade runners. His mind was cast back on his own supply runs for the Kingdom of Torjas to the island of Bastion just out of the southern coast of Salos. The island had been a of source of contention between the two for generations. It was a source of deep political shame that the Empire could not re-conquer Bastion from their ancestral enemy, so close to their shores. But then again the naval fleets of Torja had always been uncontested over the seas.
Most of the crew were fishermen. Till was the only experienced sailor, there weren't many like him in the colony yet. And that is why it had not been cheap for Seros Thert to get him to join 'The Hogue'. Till could tell almost immediately from speaking to the man that they were not putting a fishing crew together. They were going somewhere.
A few Knights were already patrolling this area of the dock. Keeping everyone anyway that was not part of the crew while Till and the others loaded the vessel with supplies and water. The former pirate could tell that whatever they were going wasn't far. No further than a week or so from the Bay.
