JP with Winteroak and Bandorchu

Alexis said nothing, just returned his gaze, leaving him to draw his own conclusions.

She knew she wasn’t credible here. It was, quite literally, something an enemy would claim to sow dissent.
But she had not been able to keep it to herself.
Because despite all of the above it was still the truth. And if she was right and they did not take this threat into consideration, more innocent young girls might meet such grim fate.

Agizul's thoughts raced. Could this be the reason why so few Penitents had arrived in the city? Could this be why the redhead slave and the girl who arrived in the city this morning asked to speak to someone before being led to the Temple? The three would be meeting the Council today, but he could not go to them with this information without proof. It could indeed be a plot by Ostiarium like Tamazzalt believed. He closed his eyes and asked the Twins for silent guidance. He was at a loss in what to do, in what to believe.

"More reasons for you to abandon this idea to find out more about the Brotherhood. What is this Hammer you seek anyway?"

At this point she might as well drive the last nail into her coffin.

“The ‘Ichor of Solitude’, personal hammer of Fosia, Father of Fang. I trust you have heard of him.“

Alexis smiled bitterly.

“And I can’t. I have my own compulsions to battle with.”

He sighed. This was becoming to complicated to follow. To make a decision based on his feelings, his knowledge or his instincts.
"If I was to help you, what would you ask of me Alexis Greyriver?"

Alexis would admit to be surprised by that question. What a curious man, to even consider helping her.

“I don’t know why you would. But you already know what I am after. I need leads. To that artefact or to the brotherhood. Or both. And maybe you can answer me one question.”

She looked at him inquisitively.

“… why have your people come to shun the third?”

He shook his head. "I told you we don't speak of that. If that is something you need to know you will need to do it on your own." He said and stood up. The conversation had soured. He needed to think. She had hinted at much he needed to deal with before even considering talking of such matters.

"The Brotherhood is holed somewhere in the west of the city, not far from here." He shrugged. "If that helps you with your quest." He bowed to here.
"I often visit the Obelisk in the evenings. Come calling if you the mood takes you again." He said and walked away deep in thought. The Trials would begin soon. He needed to concentrate on that.

“Thank you. You didn’t need to do this. I’ll remember it, for what it is worth.”

Alexis let him go. It might not have been wise to bring the goddess up, but she did, in fact, feel she needed to know about that. So do it on her own it was.

She wasn’t sure she would take him up on his offer. If she even lived to consider that. This had been ridiculously risky for the both of them. Speaking of risky. Another suicide mission to throw herself into. Yay. West of here, he said?
