View character profile for: Islana Annora
Islana's mind eventually moved to the future and what it might entail. Her path would either be as Prophetess or as slave to Shalia.
Never again would she be committed to Ostiarium or the Helians. The only people Islana missed were the ones that she had formed bonds with.
The young witch also knew she could never fully commit to the Odonine and Fang. It wasn't where she belonged. The God they worshipped, would never have her devotion.
Islana's heart and soul belonged to the Twin Gods, the Ozainae, Gra'akast and the desert. Anywhere else would be out of place for her.
Hopefully a third possibility would arise. One that would keep the young woman here, even if she wasn't the Prophetess. Maybe it wouldn't be necessary but just in case.
There was no telling how long the two sat by the water, with their minds deep in thought, not a word spoken between the two.
Eventually, the pull called to them once again. Both stood and faced the obelisk. The structure was bathed in a warm glow, only the two penitents could see. It beckoned them back towards it.
Neither could see anything but the glowing structure and each other as they reached it. Their hands going towards the stone, touching it. Their fingers held in place for several seconds before the trance lifted enough to notice someone else was there.
Standing before them, a man, familiar to Islana, stared at them, before dropping to his knees.
"Agizul," Islana gently spoke the Priest's name.
Once Agizul looked up she greeted him, in the traditional Ozanine greeting, with her fingertips to her head and chest.
In the time since meeting Yther, Islana had contemplated who to trust with the information about the murders, two names had come to mind. One of which was in front of her.
Of course, they were the only two Ozanines with any sort of power, that Islana knew, but the fact that nothing internally said not to tell them helped make up her mind.
"We need to speak to you and Amastan," Islana's voice had a sense of urgency, "It's important it just be the two of you."
