This… was a lot to take in.
It was absolutely possible Alexis didn’t get this right, but… it might be no wonder that the tusks of the twin gods were completely absent in this place. It would appear the twins had once been triplets, and their tusks were really a triangle missing a leg…
And this immortal being, brought into existence by the demise of one of these siblings. Did this connect to the prophetess? She was, after all, by all accounts indeed immortal, perpetually born anew. But if so, to what end? The third deity, were they truly gone? Or were they like Fosia, beaten, buried, but still there, waiting to rise again?
Fosia… how did it come to this, His hammer used to shatter the bonds between the three gods? Alexis began to question why the sand horde had been risen to besiege Fang. She had thought it had been in response to his priestess’s expulsion, but now she wasn’t so sure anymore.
Dias damnadh, she really wished she was smarter, so she could comprehend all this…
Alexis shook her head to clear it of the chaos. She kneeled down and inspected that picture closer, the one of a black hand breaking the hammer.
That hand. It felt apart from everything else. It did not belong to any of the gods depicted, she was pretty sure. So was this another party involved in the events?
Who were they? What was their role in all this? And what was their aim in destroying the hammer?
She could do a lot of guessing here. But at its core, that hand wanted the hammer incomplete. Which meant that if restored it most likely posed a threat to whatever goals were being pursued.
… were there leads to that black hand to be found here in Gra’akast? She could not remember having come across that particular symbology, but then again, she had not known to look for it.
Time to rectify that.
