Skara Aftermath
With the fight over, Islana felt like she could collapse at any moment. She had been drained before all of this so it had just made everything worse.
Focusing her gaze on the Sk'elep, the jackal was limping and bleeding or was that the blood of the Skara? It had probably been kicked a few times while going after the legs.
Islana gingerly stepped on her ankle, the pain was clear. It was them she noticed the left side of her body hurt, including her arm.
Remembering the claw hitting her hard, and then again when she was down. Probably, lucky she wasn't dead.
Despite the pain, there was also feeling something good had been accomplished today. Not because she had to kill something but because something dangerous was dead. Still, it wasn't a feeling Islana lingered on.
Both the huntress and her fighting companion limped out from the side of the Skara. Green eyes met the face of Madaya who was dumbfounded for a moment before letting out some kind of cheer in Ozanine that Islana didn't understand.
They started slowly making their way back to the girl, but Islana suddenly stopped and turned back to the large body now lying on the ground.
Staring at the tail for a few moments, it would be painful but so worth it.
A rock was used to sharpen a stick to a very sharp point, Islana got closer to the tail. The huntress had never been much for trophies but this could also be useful.
A pull began the process, the Sk'elep came over and started helping. While the Jackal was pulling, Islana began to cut.
It took a while and by the end of the process both Islana and the Sk'elep were worn out and in a great deal more pain than before but finally it came out.
Holding the sharp item, in front of her, with her good arm. Swinging it around a few times. A few modifications perhaps, when they could be done, but the huntress now had a weapon. The stinger of the Skara.
They labored back to Madaya, who made them some water and started attempting to tend to the wounds as best she could.
Kaithak flew down and landed on the ground in front of Islana, watching her.
The Sk'elep was bleeding from its mouth as it turned out, and had likely injured its hip in the attack. Islana's arm, ribs, ankle and head all hurt. None of them had the expertise to say what was wrong, exactly.
They would stay here today, after that remained to be seen but the redhead knew that she would feel the need to move on soon.
