Creature of The Valley

Tracks. The sight of the strange marks on the surface of the land brought Islana's mind away from any other thought, even the questions surrounding the large stone.

It was easy to see they were the same kind of tracks seen as when Madaya had been found. If they were an indicator of the creature that had terrified the young girl, then staying might have been a huge mistake.

The meat and fire seemed untouched, that was something, at least. Her eyes glanced from the fire to where her young companion stood. The woman gestured for the girl to stay where she was and remain quiet.

Tracking with her eyes, the tracks which ran parallel to her own path and towards the cliff opposite of where Islana and Madaya had come down.

Swallowing, and a deep breath for internal courage, the huntress allowed her head to slowly lift and her gaze to follow.

The sight before her was one of nightmares. Pure shock as Islana's mouth fell open and heart stopped for a moment before beating more rapidly.

An enormous creature, at least twice her size, possibly more. Giant claws, an almost insect looking head, eight long legs, an enormous curved tail that Islana knew carried poison with its giant stinger.

Skara

There was no need for confirmation on what the creature was.

Scorpions had been pointed out, while traveling with the Ozanine. They were best stayed clear of. Which seemed much easier when dealing with smaller ones.

An arrow with two bows, her magik, fire was the pitiful amount of protection Islana could offer. Well, she at least wasn't thinking it would be adequate but that didn't mean what was at her disposal wouldn't be used, if necessary.

Glancing towards the sky, her winged friend remained in the skies. It was the best place for him.

Her eyes remained on the Skara. As she stepped closer to Madaya. It would be stupid to go after the immense creature. Would just have to wait to see what it did next.
