Desert of Skulls
As Voah stood waiting for an answer, the wind continued to blow, throwing dust and sand up, swirling around the two figures as if in defiance to the presence of the foreign God in the hallowed land of the Twins.
Vastad rolled His barrel like shoulders, His jaw set as if He could feel the land fighting, rebelling against Him.
"I am here for the Child of the Void." He told her shaking off whatever power that seemed to be fighting His presence in the desert. "A full blooded, pure Vauxian. Out of the ancient jungles of Kru'll nonetheless." He stared at Voah and in that moment she realised He was once again reading her mind.
"Remarkable how his people managed to hide themselves for almost two centuries." He paused looking over her shoulder. "But we know where to look now." His words chilled her soul.
"He doesn't understand yet who he truly is. Where his kind comes from. But he will soon." He raised His hands to His wild white mane and secured it in a ponytail as if he was getting ready for battle. Or maybe just annoyed with the wind.
"You share your path with that of a living weapon. One that would help us defeat our foes and save countless lives." He said slowly making a point. "Would you sacrifice one life to save thousands?" He asked her.
The desert winds blew fiercely around the two, making Voah shield her eyes from the stinging sand. And from her God's chilling words...
