"Well, if you have never experienced a desert it will be hard for me to explain what to expect." He told them truthfully. "Most important thing will be a guide. Even the best of maps will be unreliable if you don't have someone with you to guide you." He explained.

"The sands and dunes shift and change with the wind so references are hard to come by." He continued. "You will need a lot of water and rations. You won't find much fuel in the desert. The sun can burn you to a crisp so you should cover up as much as possible with loose and long flowing clothes. Horses are pretty useless to travel in the water because you will need to carry water for the beasts as well... " He shared.

"People from the stone city aren't viewed with great eyes around here due to the, I should warn you. But a young girl went missing during the sandstorm that raged for three days and three nights. Maybe you can offer to help in exchange for passage in the next caravan." He suggested.

"You can try and get supplies for your journey for one of the farmers at the edge of Desdem. He is a bit more willing to deal with outsiders than most." He offered. "For our part we can offer you to trade for clothing and any equipment you might need on your journey if you so wish."
