Not Expected

JP with Winteroak and Cindy

Panic set in and the thought that her sighting of Alcuin might not have been imaginary. Even if this wasn't the bounty hunter, it wasn't good.

Panic and guilt over the guard might have to wait for once, even if that was hard for her. Managing to calm down enough to think a little clearer. If she wasn't unconscious she still had options, mostly one option.

The redhead already had figured out her magik was a form of telepathy, even if she didn't actually know that word. Her mind somehow connected with the mind of the animal and seemed strongest with Kaithak.

Which meant it should work with her covered head. She hoped anyway. Maybe, a test.

Kaithak

The falcon called out overhead.

Kaithak, help.

Again The young woman added at the end.

Kaithak dove directly towards the kidnappers head, using his beak at first. Then flew back up turned and came back down claws first.

Islana felt a sharp pain in her head like she had never felt before at exactly the same time that she heard Kaithak screech in pain.

She could only imagine that someone or something had hurt the bird. She felt herself being pulled away sharply to the left and hoisted over someone's shoulder.

Practically doubling over from the pain in her head. What had happened to Kaithak? That pain lasted after she was on the kidnapper's shoulder and being carried off.

The ache in her heart over the falcon getting hurt because of her would linger far longer. She tried to connect with Kaithak again to try to determine the actual state of the bird but her headache was far too great.

Try as she might, there was no containing the tears that rolled down her cheeks.

Despite everything, the young woman tried to get free. Attempting to wiggle out but the grasp on her was too firm. Pounded on the person's back but that was ignored. No one moved to help before, they had been angry and she didn't know the actual word for help in their language so screaming for assistance seemed like it would be a wasted attempt. The angle Islana was at made it impossible to try much else.

Having been able to communicate with horses before, tried her ability once again but, apparently, until her head stopped hurting it was pointless.

Islana lost all sense of direction as she was carried along like a sack of potatoes. She started to feel a bit queasy at the sudden jolting motion her captor made. She heard the man talking to someone. Their language different from what she heard the Odonine speak. Or at least she thought so. She couldn't be sure.

After what seemed like an endless trek Islana felt herself being sat on a chair. Her hood was pulled away and she could she two large men dressed in long flowing robes.

Behind him stood a woman dressed similar but with a completely shaved head. Her dark eyes appeared to smirk. She spoke to the men who grunted and stepped to the side as she cast her gaze on Islana.
