Release the Questions

JP with Voah and Gonyaul

Her positive feedback definitely helped. He was excited that he was at least one baby step closer to understanding something so important to her.

When she talked about this man, he grew serious. Why did arbiters by default have to be hateful and dangerous. He had a line of questions pertaining to this matter that maybe she could help with.

“Voah who made all people and lands?”

That was easy enough to answer, “The Pillars.” she said with confidence.

He nodded. “If Pillars make all people and lands, then why love some and no love others no more?”

He wondered why those of the inquisition were so favored while everyone else was deemed unworthy and slain if the Pillars did indeed make everyone?

“I know several men once who tend to lot of sheep. They love sheep and care for them. Sheep don’t know all things, sheep know sheep things.” He smirked thinking that funny.

“One day several sheep go away lost. Not good for sheep. These men lots of sheep left, but no happy lost even one sheep.”

He gathered his thoughts and continued, “they all go look and find sheep and bring home. Know what they not do. They not hunt sheep and kill for being sheep and not men.” That last part might have been a jab at the inquisition.

She had trouble following his story or anecdote, so she returned to his question.

“…I have had similar wonders of late…” she said in a sad, yet foreboding tone.

“Some people have unnatural power that they use to bend this world to their will… and the Gods do not like that. They would have us smite them.”

He didn’t know about the Pillars, did he know about magik?

“Have you ever heard of a witch, Gonyaul?”
