A token
Gonyaul had the most rejuvenating and restful sleep alongside Voah. He didn’t dream or stir, he was just blessed with peace and rest. When he woke, much later than usual, he was curled up on his side still on the outside of the fur snuggled up to Voah, still under the fur. His entire body felt melted to her form, save one part that was at full attention. He had to move his hips or he felt like he was going to vibrate right out of his own skin. It was either drive them into her sleeping form or in another direction.
Gonyaul rolled silently onto his back and stretched slowly. The movement helping taking the edge off by just a tiny margin. That was a mistake it flustered him yet again and he took a few minutes longer staring at the tent ceiling to try and calm himself down.
He looked in the opposite direction. On top of his folded cloak was an envelope. He had not put it there, so it must have been Voah.
Curious, he reached over and took it into his hands to examine. It had a clove-like scent which he enjoyed upon Voah’s skin and he did recognize his name on the front.
She had given it to him. His heart and mind burst; Gonyaul’s primary love language was words of affirmation and he was already guessing this was a letter addressed to him. It was exceedingly rare he ever received a written gift. And never in his life had he ever received what he would discover inside.
He carefully opened it so as to keep its original condition as best as possible. Unfolding the letter, he took out a beautiful jade comb pick that was wrapped inside. He brought it up closer to his face for inspection. It dazzled his aesthetics sensibilities and he instantly began admiring the craftsmanship.
Looking to the writing in the letter, he realized it was written in Helias. He didn’t really know how to read or write, so he would have to find a translator...
