Litanies of Purger Margrave Otho during the Odsier War
"What moves your soul? I have been legion, but now understand!
For generations, we Helians, have followed the Holy path of the Pillars, chief among them the Five, that have shaped and guided us through our tribulations, towards our promised destiny.
Now they call on us once again, to somewhere distant, a new Land, blighted by savages and tainted with Magik. A cesspool, where the Malefecium thrives and multiples. A new Holy War is needed and you, brothers and sisters, can hear its distant horns calling us to arms once more.
A great migration of sturdy men and women and sun glittering blades. Even now, some claim they can hear the call of the Gods, while others pause and strain to listen, and though they hear nothing yet, our praying voices and war cries will soon echo across Arcadia and waken our deafened brethren from their slumber. A call to war. And judgment.
That is why I came. For the promise of War. Because the Five tell me in my prayers, that this war will be unlike any other. That it will be a revelation!
Vastad tells us that War is merely the place where the iron bones of the earth meet the hollow bones of men and breaks them. But that is also the arena where faith is forged into Unquestionable Belief.
We will put this land to the sword, drive their men, women and children to the slaughter, and when we sleep, we will dream of their lamentations and be glad of heart that we are doing Holy work.
So it shall be, because The Gods Will It..."
